COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our "India Pale Ale" is medium bodied, refreshing and deep in golden color. Its bold character delivers strong hop aroma and flavor with a balanced fruitiness and bitterness throughout. A hop-headed delight, brewed with huge amount of Warrior Hops; this ale truly lives up to its name: Valhalla, the Viking’s Heaven.

On tap at brewpub. Medium amber, thin white head leaves spotty lace. Somewhat fruity bmalts, and brash citrus hops. Flavor has toasty malts, and a dry hoppy character with ample piney and herbal hops, a little earthy as well with a hint of spicy finish. Medium body, tingly carbonation.

27 July 2013, tap at Solvang Brewing Co. Yellow, clear, some steady bubbles. Nose is pine hops and slightly sweet candy. Thin body and fizzy. Pine hops with bitter finish. Decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A clear golden pour with white head. Citrus peel hops, a bit of pine, and some floral hops. Light grass notes, too. Bread, toasted malt, and a bit of caramel sweetness. The flavor is decently hoppy, but is overly grassy. Fairly sweet, too. Caramel, bread, and toffee. There’s a decent citrus note and some pine bitterness.

Dark golden hue. Moderately long lasting head. Not filtered. Aggressively hopped but not unreasonable. Nicely balanced. Some itrus notes on the nose and through the taste. True to style.

Some pretty decent hops to the aroma. Looks good. Aah, the first really bitter beer I had the entire California trip (a month ago). It really isn’t anything extraordinary but that’s okay, as I’ve just been craving a hop beer for awhile. This works.
