Pours black. Creamy tan head that stays a while. Nose is like fresh-baked dark bread. Taste is slightly sweet with a nice bitter aftertaste. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Decent brew.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz. bottle purchased at 7-11 Kittery, ME. Pitch black color with very light head retention. Nose is weak pine hops with light roasted notes. Aroma is tame just like the flavors.
Line pine hops show right up front with the body have very mild roasted chocolate malt and grain. Hints of cocoa powder and charred malts. The mouthfeel is on the thin side, with a dry texture. Almost has a mineral water note. I think if the body of this beer was beefed up it would help it a great deal. The pine with light hints of citrus could be bolder as well, use the roasted malt to your advantage and hop this brew up! Very light bitterness that vanishes almost immediately after the sip. This is a decent brew but could be MUCH better.
