COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Somersby Cider is a refreshing, sparkling and natural cider with 15% apple juice and 4.7% alcohol. Best enjoyed on ice. Ingredients: Apple wine, sugar, concentrated apple juice, carbonation, flavours, citric acid, natural aroma and 3 different E-numbers.

Editor’s note: Available in Denmark through Carlsberg, and in Norway through Ringnes.

Bottle. Pale clear yellow pour with no head. Lots of sweet apple in the aroma and taste. Palate is thin, and it could use a little more carbonation. Pretty tasty though.

Clear orange golden with a lot of bubbles. Aroma of sweet and sour apples. Always hard to rate a non beer. As a thirst quencher it?s quiet nice, although it’s a bit on the sweet side. You don?t have a clue this contains any alcohol.

Meh, this is straight up alcoholic apple juice, boredring on sickly sweet. Blech.

Pale yellow. Fake chemical aroma that continues with the taste. Lingering sugar on the palate. Too sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

October 6, 2011 - on draught at The Charlotte Room. What can I say? Clear light yellow, bubbly, no head, smells and tastes of apple, maybe with a weird hint of vinegar, seltzer in the taste, overly carbonated and a touch sweet, very fast-finishing and not at all boozy. Boring.

Can. Sweet, green apple juice aroma and flavour. Could barely detect the alcohol. Quite refreshing, better than the pear version but far for being a decent cider.

Head: pours some foam while pouring but then its gone ...
Colour: kinda reminds me of cava/champagne/white wine
Smell: sweet, apples, apple candy
Taste: sweet apples and a tiny bit of acidity ... overall not bad but sweet and easy to drink

Bottle @ Herbergbrouwerij De Gouden Leeuw, Vessem. Pretty clear pale golden color, almost no head. Smell and taste apple, sweetness and sugar. Low body, low to medium carbo.

Nearly clear. Very sweet with sugar, rather than only apple. Thin palate. Very little to like here, but put it on ice, and it would probably be OK on a hot summer day.

Okay cider with a sweet aroma and a dry finish. Boring appearance. Refreshing on a hot summer day but way too sugary for my tastes.
