COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Somersby Cider is a refreshing, sparkling and natural cider with 15% apple juice and 4.7% alcohol. Best enjoyed on ice. Ingredients: Apple wine, sugar, concentrated apple juice, carbonation, flavours, citric acid, natural aroma and 3 different E-numbers.

Editor’s note: Available in Denmark through Carlsberg, and in Norway through Ringnes.

Very pale yellow colour. Aroma is apple, not bad. Taste too, apple, any acidity, no sour, quite sweet. It seems apple juice with gas, not a cider. But at least the taste seems real apple juice, and not some shit chemical strong artificial aroma. An easy and ok drink, maybe for girls, not for me.

Can, 33cl. Very artificial cider. Full of sugar, sweeteners and other chemical stuff. Very sweet, like candy. Not enjoyable.

Tried this after reading about some ciders in local paper writeup and figured I need to reintroduce myself to ciders after a hiatus. Well after sampling several came to this. This is for the most part too sweet, no balance of dry, I have had better ciders.

Bottled. Poured clear, light golden with nothing sticking around head-wise. The aroma picked up sweet and crisp apples with touches of wood and minerals.. definitely on the sweet side, but it smelled like it was going to be tasty. The flavor found sweet apples throughout, with not quite enough related tartness (thankfully there was some).. sweet apple juice and a bit of prickly carbonation on the refreshing finish.. again too sweet, but it went down quickly. Light-bodied with a good feel and flow on the palate.. very easy-drinkin’.

Bottle. Seem to remember that was ok cider for a picnic, although too sweet for my taste.

330ml bottle (Rimi, Tallinn)
Pretty pale. Fizzy, no head. Thin apple-like aroma, some apple sauce, and pork, but that could be because I had to stretch my synapses so much to reach the apple. Thin fizzy palate. Totally sugary taste, just a hint of apple. An insult to cider. Fuck you Aldaris (looks like a .lv barcode). Shockingly drinkable, given how crap it is. Not a DP.

Very pale straw colour. Bubbly appearance. The aroma is pretty simple mixture of apples and pear. Sweet and simple with a bit of lingering sugary flavour. Very simple and not at all good. Has a sticky tooth-coatingly sweet finish. Ack. Cloying.

Tastes just like a soft drink and doesn’t feel like a beer at all. Other than that it’s quite drinkable although a bit sweet. Overall not that bad.

bottle by my sister ( of all people ? ) in her car ( of all places? ) danish ( of all countries??? ) im shocked.. dont know if i misread or if its a diffrent bottle, but ABV and looks are the same as this ( brewed in sweden.. maybe its brewed in 2 places??? ) tastes like apples.. yeah, its a cider, what the hell did you expect? very young, green apples. sweet, no overkill on anything. no boozyness at all. carbonation is very nicely done. its drinkable, but again, as all ciders, a bit boring... i do like the aspect of appletaste that comes forward very good here...
