3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at the brewery. Faintly hazed amber with a white head. Caramel corn / toffee / honey malt aroma and flavor with some faint notes of yeast. Brash and sharp carbonation, while the malt is somewhat syrupy. Not much in the way of hop aroma or flavor, and the bitterness is mild. Seems unfinished from the yeastiness and the roughness, though after shaking out some of the carbonation it drank better, but to me it’s kind of a simple, raw-smelling, grist-like maltiness that I don’t enjoy. At least it looks pretty.
