Bottled & Cask, regular;
An amber ale with excellent clarity and a creamy off-white head with a very good retention period. The aroma has a well-balanced malt and hop combo with sourdough and nut notes. The taste is exactly what you’d expect from pale malt and Northdown hops making this beer medium bodied but with a slightly bitter though very refreshing aftertaste .

Cask at the Quakerhouse Darlington. Brown amber colour, tan head and slight malt aroma. Tangy sour bitter malt taste with caramel, roast malt and nutty notes. Watery body, lingering bitterness, OK.

Bottle. Gorgeous amber colouration with a thin white head. Malt heavy nose, with some biscuits and a touch of orange peel. Light and airy in the mouth, with a strong malt presence leading to a bitter finish or liht lemon and orange. Refreshing! Quaff quaff quaff!

Cask at the CAMRA York Beer and Cider Festival, 21.9.2013. Clear golden. Wet bread, perfume and fruit aroma, smooth bitterness with a little sweet undertones. Light body, malty finish.

Cask conditioned at York Beer Festival ’13. Amber with white head. This was quite a grainy doughy beer with dry caramel notes, boiled vegetable and bitterness. Not for me unfortunately.
