3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask. Deep rusty ale with a thick white head. Light hoppy nose. Malty sweet in the taste with lovely caramel tones and warmth. Alcohol notes, but warmth instead of taste. Really nice and suppable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2013 1/2 at the Tilley Stone Gateshead. Gold with a thin white skim. Fruity citrus aroma, sharper citrus flavour with lurking grass and cat pee. Oily and astringent, with a bitter finish. Astringent in small sips, better flavour balance in mouthfuls.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Golden glowing without much of a head. It has plenty of tropical fruits in its aroma although its texture is a touch soapy so doesn’t have a great aftertaste.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A golden ale with caramel and malty flavours and woody hop notes on the finish. A nice beer but this doesn’t really taste like an American Pale Ale.
