COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled & Cask - Regular.;
Classic strong pale ale with a light gold appearance with a creamy white head which remains throughout the drink. Complex hoppy aroma due to lots of Styrian hops. Delicate fruity malt taste and low in carbonation makes this beer hugely drinkable and sessionable whilst standing out from the crowd.

Cask - Light citrus and earthy hops with some caramel. Pale gold with a bubbly white head. Light lemon and earthy hops, with a light bit of resinous bitterness. Not bad.

Half pint, hand-pulled cask ale at York Tap. Bright copper coloured body under a patchy surface leaving fine lacing behind. Mild smell of caramel malts. Taste follows the nose with brown malts to the fore added by dried fruits. Bittersweet end. Easy to drink and quite alright, however, a rather strange kind of an ipa (York 10.07.2014).

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Amber with white head. Quite a fruity beer, thickish malt roast, plummy, peachy in character but without the sweetness. Reasonable but not an IPA for me in any form.

Bottle shared with Mr_H a Dark amber beer with orange and peacy flavour however flavour is generally weak and overpowered by astringent hop finish

On tap at Earl of Essex with DanBrown. Clear no head. Dark amber. It’s slightly peachy. Touch of toffee. Hop muted

Cask (Isis, Sunderland) - Golden in colour. Grapefruit, lime and hints of malt in the aroma. Peach, lime and grapefruit all feature in the flavour. Not bad and quite drinkable.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2014 Cask by hand-pump at Guildford Arms, Edinburgh (30 Apr 2014) - clear amber brown, thin white head, floral aroma, poor lacing, delicate floral flavours, sweet, thoroughly enjoyable to drink Also 330ml bottle (not bottle conditioned) from Sonnet 43 Brewery (13 Jun 2014) - nice, but not as good as the cask version

Tap at Red Squirrel. Very plain and bland bitter - a bit misleadingly titled an IPA especillay so in a beer-forward bar.

Orange with small off white foam ring. Aroma is slightly hoppy. Taste is nice bitter with short aftertaste. (Gateshead 201404) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
