David and Robert both love bourbon. We mean love bourbon. Maybe thatís why they didnít beat around the bush here. Sure, you can age subtly in bourbon barrels. And subtlety is sometimes enough. But, with the Anvil, the real spark ignited when we tossed nuance aside and added a healthy measure of our proprietary barrel-proof bourbon flavor. Suddenly, something intense, alive and memorable happened. To our palates, it offers a clean, lively, aromatic presence with a layered smoky finish. Itís truly integrated and rounded, yet vitally distinct. Enjoy.

Cider isnít our thing, but this is not bad. Pours a clear orange. Smells of hard fruit and bourbon. Taste is quite sweet, but is contrasted by the boozy bourbon. Had on tap at Bay Area Brew Fest 2015.

wow - donít get the super low scores. Not a favorite, but well above average (if only cause itís barreled and I like barreled ciders). Pretty basic but refreshing semi-sweet apple nose and aroma. The nose has some bourbon, but the taste less, with a wisp of smoke, and a surprisingly buttery palate. Unique.

Funny but I donít get even the barest hint of bourbon here, barely even any barrel notes at all. If I had no idea it was bb-aged, I would just label this an ordinary cider. It is very British, very light carbonation, dry, darkly fruity, very much not an apple-juice flavor but more vinous. I think for sure it is the best non-Spanish non-French cider I have had.

Nice apple aroma, but no detectable burbon.golden color typical of a cider, very little head. Decent apple cider flavor with no distinct burbon hints. To much carbonation. I would drink it if served, but would not buy it again.

On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours clear light gold with a tiny white head and an apple aroma. There is a nice carbonated apple base with some vanilla and a bourbon finish. Quite interesting.

Bottle, pours a dark yellow and fizzes like a soda. Way too carbonated. Has a sourish smell. Pretty dry. It's hard to find the bourbon in this. Not very impressive ore memorable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It pours a very clear dark golden color with a small white head that fades quickly, and the aroma blends sweet apples with a hint of bourbon brown sugar. The taste is mildly sweet and mildly sour, but the aftertaste is a really dry, somewhat off flavor that is somewhat reminiscent of bourbon (but not really). The palate fuses an oily texture, medium-light body, and a nearly flat carbonation.

Bottle from Cajun Cafe Cider and Mead Fest 2015. Pours a mostly clear cider yellow-orange with a white fizzy head. Nose is apple, bourbon, oak, some mild apple, some dryness, and some mild sugar. Flavor is similar with oak, bourbon, light apple, some sweetness, and a mildly dry finish. This is a pretty nice cider overall, a bit dryer than I like, but nice.

Copper color, somewhat sweet, not very dry, bourbony, smoky finish, not amazing, but Iíd drink it again.
