COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
EVER THE PURIST, David approached pear cider cautiously. Often cloyingly sweet, he deemed few worthy of the Sonoma Cider name. So the bar was set at: balance, nuance, intensity or not at all. Contrasting crisp and creamy, aromatic and tart, he added all-natural pear flavors to Sonoma’s distinct small-apple blend until he found something genuine, with real cider integrity.

Pitchfork is our happy ending. It’s an apple connoisseur’s pear cider, hand-crafted with organic apples and a measured infusion of pear essence. It’s both intense and balanced, greeting you with the distinct aromas of both fruits. We’re convinced its fresh play of flavors, crisp start and creamy pear finish will inspire a fan club all its own. With David, the skeptic, presiding. Bottom’s up.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Apalachee - 12 oz bottle. Sparkling light golden ginger ale-like pour with nice bubble action and no head. Aroma has some sweet pear accents, a touch of vanilla, pleasant. Flavor is pretty full bodied for a perry, with some tangy pear fruitiness, a touch of club soda, some light vanilla accents. Mouthfeel has a nice spritz to it, Very refreshing.

pitchfork ehh? .. pours a light yellow .. good bubbles .. . lots of pear concentrate and flowers .. on the sweeter side, crisp finish .. i’m a big ass fan .. . .
So we asked our mother, and she was like "okay" and we went with the stranger to McDonald’s, and he bought us a Happy Meal, as afterward took us home. When my mom saw him she was immediately smitten. He tipped his hat to her and said "see ya around!" and off he went. This became our routine on those lazy summer nights. He would come by in his white unmarked van take us to McDonald’s, then bring us home and have a chat with my mother on the doorstep. Soon he was chatting with her in the living room and before too many years had passed, had married her and moved in. He still kept up he tradition every week of taking us kids to McDonald’s. Mom would smile and watch us from the window as we pulled out of the drive, remembering how our little family had come together. I would sit in the back seat of the car and look at the sun setting while we zipped passed the Golden arches and into a nearby alleyway where he would rape us senseless and tell us he would slit our mom’s throat in her sleep if we ever told.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma of pear and other fruits combined with some spices. Taste is certainly consistent, mostly pear and spices. Refreshing and drinkable.

Bottle pour at the Coppola Winery Pool in Healdsburg, CA. Candied pear aromas leading to a moderately dry finish. The perfect perry for such a pool-cidery occasion as this.

Bottle at Cajun Cafe Cider and Mead Fest 2015. Pours a mostly clear yellow with a white head. Nose is some pear, ripe apple, and a hint of sweetness. Flavor is similar- apple with bits of pear and light sweet until the finish dries it out somewhat. Lovely perry overall.

12 ounce bottle, 5/10/15. Clear pale golden, lots of fizz, fizzy off-white head that fizzes away with a quick fizzle. Aroma of pear, vanilla, earthy notes and a tart tannic finish. The taste is dry tannic wine, pear, leather, earth, vanilla. Thin bodied, high carbonation, weird.

Pours clear golden with a white head. The aroma has lots of pear that is ripe, rich and juicy, but still on the drier side for the style. It has a medium body that starts smooth then gets rougher with the sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with pepper, astringency, bright pear an some fleshiness of pears. The finish is dry and spicy. Nice.

Pours a clean sharp golden with one finger of white head. Weird candyish nose. Smells like jolly ranchers and tastes even stranger. Crisp in the mouth with some unidentifiable character that makes it seem almost rich. Round and sweet. Weird

[2/14/15] Draught at Lagunitas in Petaluma. Clear golden. Aroma of pears, rather candy-ish, with vanilla and a citric note. Sweet flavor with pear candy/bubblegum and vanilla. Too sweet and too much vanilla.

A little bit different in this one. Crisp pour with aromas of earthy pears, apples, and moderate vanilla. Different but not terrible. Interesting. Flavor is definitely sweet again, with fruity notes throughout the front side and an easy blend to vanilla creaminess in the finish. Again, different but not bad.

On tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear rich gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma is full of syrupy sweet pear with a bit of acid/tartness. Flavor is extremely sweet with a pear syrup note and a bit of dry pear towards the finish.
