Our kriek is a true "sonomablt" in every sense. We blended alt-bier with bavarian rye and fermented with wild yeast from sour cherries into zinfandel oak, and then aged for 6 months. The final blend with our dark wheat ensures that each bottle is conditioned properly to create the beer you now have in your hands. It is completely natureal and handcrafted with the upomos quality. In fact this exact label is printed on post consumer hemp and is adhered with wheat paste! Prost! Tom Goeppinger Brewmaster

Sampled at esbls. Dark brown with a creamy tan head. Oh my, what am I smelling. So intetesting and so not something had before. So much fruit and it is so funky. Bitter. Vinous and wood notes. Tart. Crazy interesting with all kinds of stuff going on. I am not a fan of sours and this one is just nuts.

Bottle, 75cl. A very dark brown beer, unclear, with a dense, two-finger light beige head. There’s some cherry on the nose, along with roasted malts, bretty fruityness, lemon hints and a cellar-ish touch. Lasting flavor with cherries blending well with the roasted malts. Some berry hints, a faint salty hint and some bretty hints. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. Lasting finish with some salty hints, roasted malts and cherries. Actually, this beer is a winner. Both tasteful and wonderful. proof that you won’t find all the gems in the bigger breweries. This is what keeps me going. 130811

A- an unfiltered brown with one half finger of light tan head. S- musty oak, cherry and funk dominate with some medicinal and astringent qualities to follow. Hints of anonymous berries. M- medium body and palate with great carbonation and effervescence. T- tart and sour cherry and grapefruit up front. Funk and unripe berries - blackberries - dominate the middle with a sharp rubber verging on latex towards the end. Pretty simple but enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle. 2012. It pours a very dark brown with a nice lasting tan head. It looks more dark ruby red when held up to the light. So far none of the problems some of the other raters have noted. The aroma is definitely tart with cherries, strawberry and kiwi. Mildly sweet maltiness with a hint of oak. The flavor is sweet malty up front with sour fruit coming in mid palate. Some cherries come through before fading into a more celery salty, phenolic and rather rough finish. A bit peppery. Not offensive, but I was hoping to get more cherries in the flavor rather than the odd finish.

750mL red wax thanks to nimbleprop I think. !!<<GUSHER WARNING>>!! Pours an exploding, muddy, reddish brown, an asteroid belt of yeast chunkies orbiting the liquid. Fizzing out head. Nose is phenolic, cherry/kriek, plastic, mold. Palate is butyric/harsh acid, paper, over carbonated minerally feel. Taste is drained with mild cherry sourness.
