COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Sonoran 200 is literally a step beyond extraordinary. Infused with Agave nectar that takes it to 19.37% alcohol, the beer has been oak-aged for almost a year on site. The result is a full bodied yet very round and smooth beverage (can it be called beer?) that is unlike anything you have ever tasted before—and that is one reason it is so hard to describe!

13 ounces of sugar death. Incredibly sweet. Tons of honey and nectar. Very sugary. No head. Must be shared.

Tequila bottle thanks to BLOZT7555. Bottle was cellared proper. Poured 6 oz. into a snifter. Color is orange / brown with no head and flat carbonation. Nose is lots of fruit tones, dark fruit followed by agave. Served chilled, lots of sweet flavors. Caramel candy, dark fruits again (plums and dates) light oaky wood tones and molasses. More complex then I was guessing. As it warmed I got secondary flavors of vanilla, honey and perhaps some grapes. I was expecting some alcohol burn even after sitting this long of a time, well no trace of ABV. Ok, yes there is after it warms up. Yes it’s sweet with flat carbonation but.. it still is really flavorful. And it gets some style points for being really unique. Plus because of the cork I was able to share with friends and then enjoy days later.

Ridiculous beer. Super high in alcohol, ridiculous bottle. Skunked, syrupy, flat, oak, insane beer.

A - Very cloudy, cloudy grapefruit juice with red hues

S - It actually smells hoppy like pine cone and a bit of lemon juice

T - Surprisingly not boozy at all, a hint of agave nectar which I actually drink quite regularly. Sweet figs and persimmons with some grape juice. not hoppy

M - Okay never mind, boozy finish. thin, syrupy and flat.

O - Very interesting and unique. more than an ounce is too much.

Shared by ygtbsm94 at my place last weekend. Thanks Brad. The beer appears still and is a hazy, orange, copper hue. The aroma is sweet and boozy. Malty, nutty, fruity, strong, bold, interesting. Caramel malt with some brown sugar, A bit oily on the palate. Low carbonation. Fun to try. Best in small doses.

Tequila bottle thanks to the crew at the inaugural RateBeer/BeerAdvocate tasting. Pours muddy, murky, looks like mud. No head. Nose is tawny barleywine, tequila, white alcohol, toffee, smoked sea salt. Taste is tequila, super dense brown sugar, melted sugar, small amounts of savory smoke. Still fairly cloying. Palate is oily, not as boozy as I thought it would be.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with no head. Aroma is nutty malt, cookie and caramel malt with dates and plums. Flavor is malt dominant with brown sugar with dates, light hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Pours murky, muddy brown...no head at all...... Aroma is sweet syrup, bread and oak... Taste is amazingly sweet...baked bread/fruitcake...or a holiday booze dessert. Fruity, sugary...amazingly smooth. A pretty astonishing blend...you know the alcohol is there, it just steps lightly and remains remarkably subdued.... Sip in small doses, only, though.

Bottle. Strong oak, rye bread and old wine aroma. Murky brown. Very sweet nutty fruitcake (orange seems to dominate) and agave flavor. Not extremely thick like I would have expected. Really pretty good but I don’t want more than an ounce of it.

Bottle courtesy of Atom.Murky amber with no head. Big boozy oaky tequila and brown bread, sort of like fruit cake, aroma. Syrupy sweet agave, earthy, fruity (like fruitcake) flavor. At over !9% I was shocked at the lack of alcohol flavor or burn. Medium body, slightly astringent mouthfeel.
