COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A superb example of an American Pale Ale. The Cascade hop flavor just explodes in your mouth. Combined with the clean malt character and smooth finish, you are left utterly wanting another when your glass is empty.

Absolutely amazing aroma!! Nice hop flavor, though a little more than most Pale Ales... this isn't a negative, but it tastes more like an IPA.

Pours with a cloudy, copper colour. Small head with some lacing. First drink explodes with a crisp, citrusy flavor. THis would make a great lawnmower beer on a hot day.

Pours with a white three-fingered head, fades slowly and leaves a good lace. Medium carbonation and body. Orange-amber color, not completely clear. Very citrusy hoppy nose. Starts slightly sweet but hoppy and finishes citrusy with a bite. Surprisingly good flavor after being frozen solid.

Bottle: Citrus aroma and initial flavor. Malt is apparant. Balanced. A local brew for me so I suppose I get it at or near it's best. Very good Pale Ale.

Pours a normal amber color with light head. Aroma is slightly musky with a fresh hop presence. Flavor is also filled with hops for an APA, has a nice sweet malty finish. I liked this APA, Thanks TTB!

Pours golden, small white head; pretty standard for a pale. Aroma is full of floral and citrus hops. Flavor is the same with just a hint of apricot. Very nice palate finishing a bit bitter. Great pale.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2003 tap-tucson beer fest WOW-thanks to squidget on this one! he said "go get some burning bird", so i did. This is a great pale ale! very balanced with an incredible aroma! very very sweet-nice hops from start to finish. re-rate-in the bottle, this is not as flavorful as on tap-a bit thin too-wonderful aroma still, but a little more straw/grassy flavor going from the bottle.

This beer is a copper color with a thick cream to tan colored head. Fairly clear with a bit of chill haze when it first pours. Smells like American hops, an orange-marmalade / grapefruit aroma to it. Smells sweet from the hops as well. There is a full amount of hop flavor that seeps through as this beer passes through my mouth. Citrus flavors, lightly malty sweet, just wonderful. A fine example of a pale ale, which surpasses many of its more popular brethren pale ales. Finishes with a good hop bitterness. As the beer warms up a bit it becomes quite clear. This beer and the hops definitely remind me of orange-marmalade, yummy.

Citrusy and lightly floral aroma, some tangerine and grapefruit, along with a touch of lightly toasty malt sweetness. Medium golden color, slightly hazy, with a creamy, settling head. Malty, sweet caramel and a bit of flowery perfume up front, followed by a blend of fruity, citric hop flavors. Light-medium bodied, palate is a little bubbly. Nice hoppy aftertaste.

Solid, but a bit lighter straw yellow in color, an inch high head of white froth, lumpy top sits long, fading slowly leaving lace in small sheets. Makes up for the lighter color. Smell is so yummy of citrus fruits - strong grapefruit, some peach, and light lemon, quite juicy and a slight piney fatness, good , no, make that great hop nose. Wiff in, ahhh.... Taste is quite excellent, smooth, but tight of quick malts then the hops enter with super smooth grapefruit, a bit of peach and a nice airy light finish of more grapefruity sourness and a pucker of drying. Quite a decent medium body close to full and lightly textured with some creamy features in the front and finish. One hell of a great pale ale, nearly beating out some IPA's I've had. Phoenix has a winner here in my book!
