COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sonoran Brewing Companyís inaugural Chef Series beers are an integration of all things LOCAL. Local Brewery, Local Chefs, Local Ingredients, Local Artist, Local Charity, Local Legacy and Local Legends. Inspired by our passion for great F&B(Food & Beer) pairings and our desire to support and showcase the LOCAL talent here in Arizona, it was only a matter of time before destiny played a hand in connecting all those involved. Our first of Four Seasonal Releases the 7 Wives Saison is from Jeremy Pacheco; Executive chef at LONís at the Hermosa Inn. This brew features fresh whole wehat berries from Chef Jeremyís Family Farm in Marana, fresh pink peppercorns from Singh Farms in Scottsdale, whole fennel and fennel pollen from LONís garden, Chef Joshua Reisners garden and McClendons select in Peoria, mesuite syrup from Cotton County Jams in Phoenix as well as locall produced orange and coriander. Chef Jeremy came up with the name for his brew as a way to pay homage to one time LOCAL Artist, Legen and founder of Case Hermosa(now the Hermosa Inn) Lon Megargee who was married 7 times. We proudly share a portion of our proceeds with our LOCAL charity of choice, the Waste Not Oraganization of Arizona www.wastenotaz.org. All art work for the Chefís Series is by LOCAL artist Ellison Keomaka. Enjoy this unique collaboration and thanks for drinking Locally!

22 oz. bottle shared by DrSilverworm (06/2013). Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor has a big herbal and spicy note showcasing the fennel and peppercorn, pale malts, grass with mild sweetness from the mesquite syrup. The flavor had more peppercorn and less fennel. Somewhat dry, medium bodied. Interesting enough.

Slightly hazy, almost filtered orange-tan. Foamy, glass rimming head. Peppery, zesty herbal aroma. Pretty nice, a little less subtle than Belgian examples. Flowery perfume, herbs. Nice pepper tones.

Bomber thanks to Daknole. Pours clear orange amber with a large off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, orange peel, funk, pepper, herbs, grain. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet, grassy bitter, herbal and peppery notes. Medium body, interesting beer overall.

Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that was lasting with good lacing. Medium to heavy yeast, herbal, peppercorn and citrus aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex hot & sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & hot finish of moderate duration. Solid complex beer for style.

22oz bottle, thanks to MikedR. Mildly hazy golden color. Some fine particles suspended in the body. Couple loose dots of lace. Interesting, unique spicy nose. Some unusual spices, lemon / lime zest, smooth light to moderate strength soft carbonation. More dry in the finish. Nice herbal notes to it, lightly savory. Some zesty sweet taste. Nice, interesting tasty saison

Poured into a tulip. 3.75 A: Nearly clear golden yellow color. Three fingers of frothy/foamy white head. Retention is pretty good and a few whisps of lacing are left. 3.75 S: A lot going on in the nose. Flowery with a huge herbalness. I donít know what wheat berries or fennel pollen smell like, but I have to assume that they contribute to the herbalness. Pink peppercorns, corriander, and orange come out well. The mesquite syrup adds a peculiar, though welcoming, aroma to the mix. Despite the million adjuncts, it comes off closer to a normal, super herbal saison, than a Frankenstein monster. This brew is proving to give good usage to the 0.25 increments as the nose on this falls squarely between 3.5 and 4.0. 3.75 T: Like the nose, this is herbal foremost. Flowery and earthy underneath. Light pepper, corriander, and orange. Mesquite flavor shows up again. The other stuff, well, I dunno what itís doing. My only complaint is that this is a little too bitter. Iím fine with dry saisons, but I want a soft bitterness from them. Still, good taste overall. 3.5 M: Lighter body. Good moderate carbonation, but it isnít spritzy or creamy, which is what I like in a saison. Super smooth. Good enough here. 3.5 D: Overall itís a good brew. Thereís a lot going on and for the most part it works well, but it doesnít "wow" me in any way. Serving type: bottle 01-24-2013 00:09:41

Yellow with a white head. The aroma is full of yeast and orange. The flavor is about the same. I get a lot of orange and lemon notes, as well as some yeast and biscuit malt. There is also a bit of spice in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pours gold with a thin-ish sort of white colored head of foam. The aroma emits sweet apples, loads of herbal rosemary, basil and anise. Nice and interesting for sure. The taste is similar with apple and pear and honey like sweetness riding on top of a firm degree of pleasing herbal goodness seemingly coming from the same characters noted in the nose; rosemary, basil and anise. Cool brew with plenty of interest and great balance of flavors.

Great aroma. Taste is a bit different for a saison. Not as sweet. Better after the second sip. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
