COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sonoran Brewing Company’s inaugural Chef Series beers are an integration of all things LOCAL. Local Brewery, Local Chefs, Local Ingredients, Local Artist, Local Charity, Local Legacy and Local Legends. Inspired by our passion for great F&B(Food & Beer) pairings and our desire to support and showcase the LOCAL talent here in Arizona, it was only a matter of time before destiny played a hand in connecting all those involved. Our first of Four Seasonal Releases the 7 Wives Saison is from Jeremy Pacheco; Executive chef at LON’s at the Hermosa Inn. This brew features fresh whole wehat berries from Chef Jeremy’s Family Farm in Marana, fresh pink peppercorns from Singh Farms in Scottsdale, whole fennel and fennel pollen from LON’s garden, Chef Joshua Reisners garden and McClendons select in Peoria, mesuite syrup from Cotton County Jams in Phoenix as well as locall produced orange and coriander. Chef Jeremy came up with the name for his brew as a way to pay homage to one time LOCAL Artist, Legen and founder of Case Hermosa(now the Hermosa Inn) Lon Megargee who was married 7 times. We proudly share a portion of our proceeds with our LOCAL charity of choice, the Waste Not Oraganization of Arizona www.wastenotaz.org. All art work for the Chef’s Series is by LOCAL artist Ellison Keomaka. Enjoy this unique collaboration and thanks for drinking Locally!

Bottle left on the counter by emacgee. Pours a pale orange golden with little to no head. Nose is peppery and buttery, some grain and stewed veggies. Flavor is sickly sweet, butter, some rotten fruit. delicious.

Thanks daknole. Pours a soft and effervescent straw yellow with three fingers of sticky white head. Nose is very interesting, notes of candy and sweet bread with lots of fruity notes coming through and a lightly spicy quality. Very hard to define. Medium body, more than a saison should have with a moderately dry finish. Spicy and lightly zesty. Bready and candy-like in the mouth too.

Bottle shared by Tooch4321 in the GTMW ticket line...thanks Adam! - Pours yellow with a white ring of head. Nose is anise like crazy--I’m assuming from the fennel. Smells just like black licorice with a bit of herbal notes. Taste is similar, but with sweet malt, honey, and a bit of dry, mineral, yeasty finish. Well-carbonated with a soft feel. My first fennel-bomb.

Bottle to tulip (thanks, Daknole). Looks good; cop perish with thin lacing. Smells pretty good; nutmeg? Tastes good; Zesty and spicy. Mouthfeel is good. A good saison!

Pours golden, minimal off white head that recedes quickly. Apple juice esque. Really distinct nose. Fruity, coriander, fennel, honey and yeast. Decent yeast profile. Honey sweetness, solid and distinctive ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

TheAlum (5575) - Lisle, Illinois, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Bottle shared at the GTMW ticket line (Madison, WI). Pours a rich dulled yellow straw hue. Touches of rich haze, frothy brighter white head atop laces ok. Good ring of head. Aromas are gentle straw, bready malts, touches of apple, pear, and gentle white pepper elements. Dry touches of florals and grass, gentle yeasty spice, some mellow herbal qualities. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied with some dry spice up front, florals and gentle yeast, touches of peppercorns, with some mellow apple, pear, and a hint of citrus. Some mellow touches of honey, the middle is a touch sweeter. Quickly moving back to dryness into the finish. Gentle spice, earth, and dryness. Despite all the crazy ingredients, this one offers a simplicity and dryness into the finish. Solid.

This is a fantastic brew. True to style and a unbelievable assortment of LOCAL AZ ingredients. The name alone kicks ass! This s a great american version of a belgian saison. The only thing to critique.... The viscosity is heavy and if were more carbonated would be off the charts!

Hey Sasquatch, you got your name on the board. This is an excellent example of how creative a brewer can be and still fit the style with integrity. I thought the beer had a nice sense of balance from all aspects. Rich in flavor with good carbonation and head retention.

22oz. bottle. Pours a lovely clear golden color, with a rich egg shell white head, which rapidly diminishes. Some lacing lingers. Aroma is citrus (lemon & orange mainly), with fennel and sweet malt. Taste is sweet, refreshing and crisp, with orange, lemon, coriander, malt and fennel. Finish is lingering fennel, with some bitterness. Pretty nice summer ale.

Nice golden orange pour with a White head...aroma has a lot going on with some orange..and almost a minty scent...tasty explosion with orange, honey, lemon grassy..and others I simply can’t quite identify, but I very much love it. It activates the senses, exactly what I love in a beer. Way to go Sonoran!
