1 liter flip-top bottle acquired in a couple of trades. Opened to a loud and audible pop and proceeded to pur with a huge sized white head. Settled down to a mdeium yellow color. Aromas of vanilla, some citrus, and if I stretched it, some lighter chocolate. Tastes follow suit. This one was just kinda thin and all around boring. I dont know if that fancy bottle lead me to expect something more, but I was somewhat dissapointed.

Bottle shared by pepsican. Poured a slightly hazy light orange color. Interesting aroma of subdued chocolate and funk. Light bodied with mild acidity and moderate carbonation. Strange melange of flavors including wet stone, chocolate, cream, and butter. Not my bag.

1ltr bottle from rustychiles, thank you Rusty. Somewhat pale yellow color with a quickly dissipating head. Has an aroma of coffee more than chocolate. Slightly chocolate flavor, not much else otherwise.

Pours to a clear pale yellow straw colored body with a medium, frothy white head. The aroma shows white chocolate, light roasted cocoa beans, light sweet pale malt. Taste shows a dry white chocolate, light burnt cocoa beans, hints of vanilla and sweet sugar. I’m surprised by how nicely the white chocolate flavor comes through in the flavor - not at all overwhelmed by any hops or malt flavors. Light bodied, crisp carbonation, finishes with some extended white chocolate and dry cocoa notes. Very nice; would go well as a desert beer.

In short: A unusual white chocolate beer that goes far beyond white chocolate. Weird, very unique
How: Bottle 1L, sent my way as a bonus(!) by hellbilly. Thanks a lot Joshua
The look: Cloudy golden-yellow body topped by a large white head with low retention
In long: Intriguing and almost offsetting nose of band-aid, herbs and vanilla beans. Surprisingly little white chocolate on the nose although very present in the taste. Taste starts with some weird fluffy yeasty notes, almost funky, hard to describe. Then a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, some band-aid. Rather grassy. Medium acidity coming out of nowhere. After-taste surprised me with lots of white chocolate going down my throat. Fluffy body, tickling carbonation. I actually liked that weird beer. I donít think I would had liked it if there was more beers like this but this one takes many extra points for originality. With all those black chocolate stouts itís about time someone does a white chocolate one. White power!!!

BottleÖ Backusís Backdoor Bash Ď08... Murky off-white ale. Lightly acidic, buttery nose provides additional notations of white chocolate and vanilla. Light to medium-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor offers a nice tart snap to go along with notes of vanilla, cocoa butter and white chocolate. Tart, tangy finish. Bottle courtesy of Beerlando!

Sampled @ Backusís Backdoor Bash courtesy of BeerLando.Ok first off this was a way cool cobalt blue , 1 liter, flip top bottle.I know it said whie chocolate but I was expecting the pour to be closer to a chocolate color, but it wasn’t.It poured a cloudy golden color with a soapy white head. The nose was funky with a slight detection of chocolate, citrus, and nuts.It definately was a unique beer.Flavor was funky with hints of chocolate and malts. The finish was tart.Definately an unusual beer.

Bottle courtesy of the Merrit Island tasting hosted by mcbackus. The bottle was gorgeous by the way. If you are into that kinda thing! Flavor was sweet tarts, sour apples, and lemons. I was very hard pressed to find ANY chocolate here. Not a fan of the sour type beers, however, this would be a good intro.
