3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy golden. No head whatsoever. Aromas of white chocolate, cocoa, malt and sugar. Initial flavor is of white chocolate, a nice semi hoppy pale flavor, sugar, milk and cream. Mouthfeel is smooth and semi silky. Definitely a different beer. The white chocolate is a nice additive. This is definitely a beer worth trying.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2011 Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Nothing like the bottle suggested. The aroma is almost all white chocolate, there’s also a hint of wheat. The taste is amazingly good, the white chocolate is there but it’s not overwhelming or too sweet. It’s just a perfectly balanced wheat beer with a hint of white chocolate. Super good. The first couple batches of this they put out were really sour. I’m glad they’ve finally cleaned up their brewing process because this is a fantastic beer.

Draft at Whole Foods Chandler. Pours golden with half an inch of white foam. Smells a bit like a tootsie roll on the nose. This beer tastes just like white chocolate without being cloying or lingering to long on the palate. Really a well-crafted beer.

puch in phx; this is one unique beer. bottle stated white chocolate ale. about the most accurate/unique aroma ever - it was white chocolate!! not sure how they did it. taste was good and had the white chocolate subtle taste. this would be best as a taster or 12 ozer; this was a bomber and by end, the white chocolate got to be too sweet, but tasty and a very unique beer!

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured up on tap at Taste of Tops with with clear gold body and tiny white head. The bold aroma offers up saltine cracker, crusty caramel and chocolate. The taste is overly sweet and I’m damn glad I only have invested in a 6oz pour as opposed to a whole bottle. I get sugary malt sweetness some chocolate and sugary sweet cream soda. Hmmm?

5/16/11. Bomber labeled "White Chocolate Ale" courtesy fata2683! Light golden pour with a frothy off-white head that lasts. This is very interesting. Bright wheat aroma hits at first with lemon peel and soft wheat malts but then lingers with a definite chocolate touch. Slightly tart lemon wheat brew flavor hits first but the lingering flavor is definitely smooth, almost buttery white chocolate. Quite interesting and quite nice!

White Chocolate Ale Bottle thanks to Dionysus. Cloudy gold. Fluffy white head. Nose/taste of white chocolate, wheat, hops and cocoa. The white chocolate really shines through on this one. Medium body. Well done.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle thanks to Dave! Pours hazy light orange with a thin white head. Aroma is light cocoa, wheat, thin citrus notes. Flavor is creamy oat and wheat malts, light citrus hops and a nice clean cocoa that is only semi-sweet in the finish. This actually works well and isn’t at all as gimmicky as it sounds. The mouthfeel and thin cocoa in the finish only complement the thin citrus. Reminds me of the German chocolate oranges.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz bottle: slightly hazy orange, straw…thing, ivory cream around the edges of the glass…Dusty, chocolate aroma with hints of raspberries, honey and pale malts. Palate is smooth and a touch creamy with a lingering stale and vegetal bitterness. Soft texture on the tongue…the flavors are incredibly unique: white chocolate, doughy yeast, bitter anise, and vegetables. A fun experience, though I probably wouldn’t get a second one.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle provided by Jale at Jackie O’s. Thanks for the Arizona tick and a unique beer. This beer just sounds terrible and if not for the Arizona tick I wouldn’t have tried it. However, this is an amazing surprise...Gusher warning. Pops with lots of thin foamy white head, light off white poor lacing. A lightly clear gold, not much to look at...The aroma is terrible, skunky, fake, as generic as it sounds. No hope for this at all...The taste is amazing. Its not amazing great or highly drinkable but it tastes EXACTLY like white chocolate. This is a very skillfully crafted beer. Its dominated by white chocolate, nothing else comes through, but luckily its not so sweet you can’t drink.
If you like white chocolate and sweeter beers by all means give this a shot. Not close to being a great beer, but worth trying.
