COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cordillera Blanca (kawr-dl-yair-uh) or White Mountains, loosely translated to English, is the newest additions to the Sonoran Brewing line of products. This White Chocolate Ale is light, refreshing, and completely unique! Like most fine chocolates, this brew has delicate aroma and the subtle taste of White Chocolate that is truly astonishing!

Golden in color with a bit of white head. Slight chocolatey aroma, definitive white chocolate flavor. Quite interesting, and surprisingly chocolatey flavor that goes decently with the beer.

Thanks to erzengel for sharing! Pours a hazy dull orange/yellow with a small tan head. The smell is just like circus peanuts, some white chocolate, biscuits. The taste is liquified circus peanuts, graham crackers, some fruit ending a bit dry. light/medium in body.

Sampled at Hellbilly’s Hellraiser II. Flip top bottle courtesy of SuperDave. Pours a semi-hazy honey gold with minimal white head. Nose is vanilla, coffee and hazelnut. Palate is hazelnut upfront with cocoa butter and vanilla in the finish. Pretty sweet brew that would be good for a nightcap. Interesting beer – thanks for sharing Dave.

(22 oz bottle). Pours hazy yellow with white head. Aroma is of chocolate!. Taste is sweet with some hopiness. Finish is bitter with some yeastiness. Interesting brew, but I can only drink a few sips. Chocolate flavor is well done and intense.

bottle thanks to Dave! Pours hazy light orange with a thin white head. Aroma is light cocoa, wheat, thin citrus notes. Flavor is creamy oat and wheat malts, light citrus hops and a nice clean cocoa that is only semi-sweet in the finish. This actually works well and isn’t at all as gimmicky as it sounds. The mouthfeel and thin cocoa in the finish only complement the thin citrus. Reminds me of the German chocolate oranges.

shared at our monthly bottle share. Labeled as Sonoran White Chocolate. The aroma off this golden hued pour was nice white chocolate and cookies. the flavor fell off a bit with more cookie and biscuit but less chocolate and sweetness as the nose had promised.

This is unlike any other beer I have ever had. Vanilla, white chocolate, and hazelnut aroma. Flavor is light and sweet with a whipped cream like flavor and mouth feel. Difficult to accurately describe. Must be experienced.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2008 Sampled at the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild 2008 Strong Beer Fest, on February 17, at the Mesa Amphitheatre. Pours a very light pale gold, with a giant creamy long lasting white head. Light aromas of chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is similar. Very nice and refreshing.

Bottle shared somewhere in Bk. notes. Very odd beer. Close to the pet peeve, heineken. Creamy skunk, maybe a bad bottle. Will average rating due. Cannot drink this stuff. (Need to rerate eventually)
