3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy cocoa powder and light vanilla...maybe a touch of grass. It?s a transparent dull gold with a small white head that eventually fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is some spotty lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of wheat. The finish has light-moderate sweet cocoa powder and vanilla. It?s light bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, it?s probably a good thing I got a 4oz sample. I like chocolate, but straight cocoa powder generally wears on me quickly.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Phoenix. Pours a clear gold color with a white head. Notes of chocolate, vanilla, and pale malts. Sweet and sugary. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. I’m told this is very popular out here. I liked the first few sips but got sick of it quickly. Wouldn’t recommend more than a taster.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
:S BESVIKEN...

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle received as extra in trade. Thank you Daknole! Labeled white Chocolate Ale. Pours tiny hazy golden with a small frothy white head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is, well, strange with unfermented grains, low quality white chocolate, cereal, lemon zest, soil, hay and milk duds. Taste is tiny sweet, tiny bitter and tiny sour with grains, crackers, cereal, lemon juice, vanilla beans, hay, dry soil and possibly hints of white chocolate if you really try hard to find it. Mouthfeel is crisp, phenolic astringent and light bodied. Finish is bitter and tiny sour with grains, cereal, hay, dry soil and lemon zest. Not my cup of tea at all. Hopefully i’ll get the chance to see what Arizona really has to offer at some point.

Bottle at Colin And The Vikings in Nol 2014-03-22. Thanks to Alex. Clear pale golden beer with a small offwhite head. Slightly roasted aroma, herbal, caramel, fruity notes. Sourish flavor, really strange and hard to define. No sign of chocolate.
