COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grapefruit halves topped with brown sugar with fresh basil in a glass. If you’re Chief Eddie Matney ; Owner and Head chef of Eddie’s House and Sonoran Brewmaster Zack Schroeder, then the answer is yes, as that is exactly what they brewed up for our summer seasonal Chief Series beer. Both avid fly fisherman Chief Eddie and Zack came up with the recipe for this unique refreshing brew while telling stories and sharing their favorite fishing spots. The Triple F’ honors Chief Eddie’s 3 greatest passions in life; Family, Food and Fly Fishing. Brewed with grapefruit juice from locally grown grapefruit from Zack’s family tree in Tucson brown sugar, an abundance of fresh basil, this brew awakens your taste buds and delights your senses with a balanced tartness of grapefruit, the sweetness of brown sugar and refreshing bite of fresh basil. A portion of the tapping party proceeds go to Chief Eddie’s local charity of choice; Scottsdale Charros. Beat the Arizona heat with the most refreshing and tastiest summer brew in town.

22 oz. bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma has grapefruit, sweet character, herbal, some spice and a light funk. The flavor was much of the same, but came off more dry than I would have expected.

Bottle as an extra! Pour has a rich golden color and a huge off white head that took up most of the glass on the initial pour. Aroma has wet herbs, basil, and some yeast though the basil is much bigger than anything else. Mouth feel is light and the carbonation is very high. Flavor has wet herb bitterness, basil, and some light grains. The basil is just so strong and leaves no room for anything else to shine.

Thanks Dakine. Slightly clouded yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is basil and it reminds me of my herb garden. Taste is basilat the front followed by a light grapefruit flavor and some sweetness. Very refreshing beer. This beer leaves a clean palatte. Nice lacing. The grapefruit is more noticable in the finish. Makes me want a pizza or some pasta.

Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured hazy yellow color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy herbal and floral aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet & herbal flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded.

22oz bottle, thanks to MikedR. Shared 3 ways. Pours a hazy yellow - orange color. Thin white head, few loose dots of lace. Very interesting pungent grapefruit aroma, works very well with the earthy cooking herbs in here. Light body. Soft, smooth carbonation. Nice long zesty sweet herbal aftertaste. Big flavor, for such a light beer. Nice zesty sweet flavor, and savory taste with the herbs. I think this is an awesome light session ale. Really unique, tasty flavor for a beer, and a big amount of it too, for the ABV. Impressive.

Very light pour. Highly carbonated. Beautiful bouquet of basil on the nose. And, for what it's worth, that is the primary flavor. Lingering taste of mint. An interesting brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) cloudy gold, ring of fine white bubbles. Nose of abundant italian sweet basil, ruby red grapefruit, brown sugar, and white table sugar. Taste of sweet basil, light ruby red grapefruit but not bitter at all, citrus zest, watermelon, really unique refreshing beer. Light and effervescent natural carbonation.
