4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Solid black color with a pour like oil. It initially appeared as if I would not get a head, but toward the finish it develop a thin creamy dark brown head that quickly laced. I may never have seen a head look this dark and brown before. A strong semi-sweet chocolate, milk, and coffee aroma. Rich and smooth chocolate flavors that leave a long aftertaste. Quite a treat.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
651mL black and silver label from Papago Brewing bottle shop. Extremely overcarbonated pour. Head retention is insane and rocky. Nose is apple sauce, smoke, Maplewood BBQ. Taste is apple heavy, papery, harsh, ashy. Palate is dry, ashy, abrasive. Near metallic.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from Dak. Thanks! Pours black with a nice big creamy brown head. Big roasty aroma with some definite hops in the background, maybe some chocolate and hints of coffee. Creamy mouthfeel with huge roast flavor. Some lingering bittersweet chocolate left on the palate but mostly roasted roastiness. Some decent bitter. Low to medium carbonation. A bit of lingering alcohol on the end. Overall not bad.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate chocolate, caramel, vanilla, roasted coffee, and a hint of smoke. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a large light brown head with good retention. Thereís some sporadic webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate dark chocolate and a touch of vanilla. The finish is moderately hoppy with pine and grapefruit. Thereís also some light-moderate burnt notes and black coffee. Itís medium-full bodied with light-moderate carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a solid black color with a huge unwavering tan head. Smells of light roast, dark pitted fruits, chocolate, brown sugar, and a whole lot of molasses. The flavor is a nice mix of burnt sugars and dark fruit. Light earthy hop flavor help provide balance. Medium to thick body with a light level of carbonation and a tart creamy mouthfeel. Nice imperial stout, Iím glad I got to try it.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle from Keith. Rating #153. Thick, inky black color with a nice tan head. Nice intense dark roast, not really roasty, but just dark, dark fruits and really aromatic. Flavor is bitter roast and with a hint of sour roast, not nearly as nice as the aroma. (2750)

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thanks Dakine. Deep black pour with a mocha head. Head is way too much. Aroma is roasted malt. Taste is roasted malt, bitter in a bad way, chalky, and thin for an imperial.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle, new label, thanks to a great trader. pours a silky, thick black capped by a massive (strangely large, actually), rocky head of dark khaki foam that quickly dissipates into tight rings of lace. aroma is great with rich, heavy roasted malts, black licorice, ash, and toasted marshmallows backed by subtle notes of tar, vinyl, and bakerís chocolate. flavor is delicious as well with rich, roasted malts, dark chocolate, raisins, and prunes backed by licorice candy, toffee, berry skins, and just a hint of peat smoke. palate is full bodied and creamy owing to the dense carbonation and finishes with a heavy handed dose of roasted black malts. overall, a deliciously intense imperial stout.
