I can’t belive nobody has rated this one in 3 years. Not a bad Porter at all. True to form, it poured a dark black with a thin tan head. Aroma is chalked full of malt and almonds. Taste is balanced with hints of chocolate, nuts and perhaps a little coffee. Finish is deep and full. I’d order another...

At Brewers Den - 02/07. Aroma of toasted malt, hint of chocolate. Nice blackish color w/reddish hilites; tan head that didn’t stick. Sweetish, body not too thick, lightly roasted malt, chocolate notes, mellow finish.

Draught @ Sonora: This one pours an opaque, dark brown color. It has a bit of a light brown head to it. It didn’t last long and had minimal lacing. The aroma had a roasty sweetness to it. Roasty, slightly sweet chocolate taste with hints of coffee. Some bitterness in the finish. Not bad.

Hmmm... nothing stands out on this one. It has all the characteristics to make it a porter, but none of them quite stand out. Finish is short & uneventful.
