ROGUE (621), Newark, Delaware, USA Sep 28, 2009 12oz bottle. Poured a deep copper color with a reddish tint and thick tan head. Plain toasted malt aroma. Flavor is sweet roasted malts, nuttiness and slight mild hops. Very mild and plain. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA Sep 1, 2002 Re-Rate 09/1/02: Deep garnet in color, the head is generous and beige, lots of lace. Nose is malt, nut sweet, as is the start. The middle of the beer is light, the finish is acidic, dry, lightly hopped and a decent but not great beer. Ranks #913 on my master beer list. omhper (12153), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 9, 2002 Red-brown. Lightly malty, low bitterness. spydog (74), Tempe, USA Mar 30, 2002 Malty taste. Low hops. Was a little bit to thin. Bov (5403), Bienne, Switzerland Aug 13, 2001 reddish colour, no head, plastic aroma with a hint of cherry, far too much carbonation, sour, long plastic aftertaste - boaaark ! Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Apr 27, 2001 buttery, malty aroma; orangey-amber colour; thin body with rank flavours of sour hop, and empty maltiness (like spent grains). It’s not bottle-conditioned, so what’s gone wrong here?
