As popular as it is nowadays to push the envelope to 80 IBUs and beyond, this is a very well-balanced IPA. Ray created this recipe in 2009 as an anniversary gift to his wife, who loves good IPAs. The Sooper Yooper IPA is a classic, with six hop additions. Ray utilizes both Centennial and Cascade hops, and dry hops with a pound of Cascade for each barrel produced.

Pint glass at the brewery. A very nice orange colour with little head as per North American custom. There was no aroma to speak of at all. The first taste however was very enjoyable on the palate and a very clean aftertaste. The rest of the glass lived up to my first impression. A very commendable brew.
