My favorite hungary beer. Beautiful dark brown color. It has full taste of malt, toffee and little chocolate. Very good beer.

Pours a black color with small off-white head. Smell of roasted malts and yeast. Thin body with medium to high carbonation. Taste is a bit bland and generic, roasted malts, yeast, notes of coffee. Slightly metallic. A bit weak, thin and watery. Overall, not impressed with this one. Generic.

Rossa scurissima con riflessi color rubino, schiuma beige di media persistenza. Aroma di malti tostati e malto chiari, leggera nocciola. Al palato pane nero, nocciola e tostatura generica, acidula, coda amaricante tostata. Corpo leggero, mediamente carbonata, acquosa.

0.5l bottle. Nice silky thick head, blackish body. Neutral aroma, persistent foam tastes like roasted coffe with a bit of sourness. The beer itself also delivers a taste of roasted coffee and some acceptable sourness, but it is moderate stuff, maybe even watery a bit. Palate is a bit too carbonated but overall acceptable. Overall this is a nice and harmonic dunkel, nothing special but a safe choice over Soproni or even Heineken if you happen to land at a pub serving Heineken Hungary beers.

Can. Caramel, chocolate, roast, nuts. Slightly praline-like feel. Too watery and also slightly astringent but not bad at all.

Roasted malts and metal on the nose. Great black color with healthy tan head. Roasted malts and caramel. A bit watery but if you find yourself in Hungary and it’s this or some shit golden lager yer better off with this guy. Finish is dry and nutty. Nice on a cold night.

Wygląd: Brunatna barwa z rubinowymi refleksami. Piana obfita ale dość szybko znika. Zapach: Głównie karmel, nuty słodowe. Smak: Karmel, nuty kawowe. Ogólnie: Dobre piwo.

Can, 0.50l. Clear dark brown color with thick soapy tan-like head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, nuts and grass. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel, mild roasted malt and mild chocolate note, following is grassy and bready, while finish is mild bitter. Thin to medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Certainly positive surprise...

Keg at ’For Sale Bar’ in Budapest. Stayed for a cheeky half because the bar was cool but overly priced. Free peanuts though eh. The Soproni Tmavy is not great but way more flavoursome than the straight Soproni. Head and shoulders above it even. Pours Brown with a Tan head. Caramel chocolate and tin. Good enough.
