2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 judasbeer (431) - Budapest, - MAR 20, 2009
Dark brown color with tanned good lacing, relatively creamy. Very similar aroma to Gösser Bock. Sweet, roasted malty, caramel, chocolate with cinnamon notes. Fine toasted malty caramel and coffee flavors with underlying dark fruits. Not so pleasant harsh slightly hopped, dry ethanol finish. Medium body with balanced texture, fizzy carbonation.

0,5l bottle from random supermarket, Budapest. Clear dark ruby brown color with light brown head. Roasty, coffee aroma with some sweetness in the odor. Medium bitter-sweet taste. Medium body with lively carbnation and creamy texture. Long roasty bitter finish. This beer is no more than a casual lager with dark color and roasty aroma. But from this perspective it’s OK.

Not a bad dark beer. Dark amber with a light, fluffy, tannish head. Smells of malts and tastes of brown sugar. Watery light body.

Can and Bottle. Not bad-not bad. Usually i dont like the achievments of the Soproni Brewery, but this dark beer is worth drinking.

Black coloured beer with a rather thin, off-white head. The aroma is (roasted) malty and yeasty, too. There is a hint of roasted maltiness and coffee in the taste. The body is light and the carbonation is soft.

Dark reddish brown almost black colour with small to average size tan head. Sweet sugary syrupy malty aroma with molasses and sweet liquorice. Flavour is toasted malt, some sweetness but much drier than the aroma. Very Schwarzbier like flavour. Some dryness in aftertaste.
