Visiting Budapest for work and took train to center to check out Vak Varju, a restaurant reco’d by a colleague. Had a few of these on draft. Delicious fresh Euro lager. Warm base / rich malt underside. Perfect lace with every sip down tall lager flute. No complaints here.

Bottle. Light to moderate grain for the malt, light perfume and faint soap for the hops and yeast, and a hint of pepper. Head is large, frothy, white with excellent lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear gold. Flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly acidic, thne finishes lightly acidic and faintly bitter. Palate is light, dry and has a lively carbonation with a dry finish. A crisp and simple Pale Lager.

Dogbrick (8141) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Clear pale golden color with a thin and fizzy white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Pale malts and mild hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of cereal malt, grassy hops and slight fruit. The finish is mildly hoppy up front with a doughy malt aftertaste. Below average overall.

Borsos, de olyan mint ami a vendéglőben rászáradt a szóró tetejére, esetleg a moly is belepetézett. Piros kockás abrosz. Ezt se az ízéért issza az ember. Távoli citrom. Túl édes. A kukoricát csodával határos módon nem érezni. Igazából elég jellegtelen, de legalább nem ordenáré.

Thanks to erzengel! Pours a clear yellow with a small off white head. The smell is grain. The taste is mild grain with a dry finish. The body is light with average carbonation. Really a bland beer.
