amber colour, moderate sized head; aroma of orange peel, bread and honey...maybe some minimal ginger; taste of a malt-dominated lager with some honey notes drinkable, but nothing special

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Amber colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter herbal flavor. Gingernotes. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate. Strange.

Yellow/orange colour, with a small head, disappearing. Smell is malt, caramel, sweet, with a spicy mix. Taste is sweetish, with a little bitter finish. No idea where is the ginger. Nothing special.

500ml bottle. It has only 4,5% alcohol, so not the original. No foam but light body, so it is a weak beer just some nice aroma (ginger, honey, orange). Besides this, it is not cheap.

Bottle at America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours clear copper brown with airy off-white head. Sweetish, malty and fruity aroma, with notes of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with fruity and malty notes. Aggressive carbonation. Rough aftertaste. Nothing to write home about.

larsga (6120) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 21, 2013
Medium brown head. Slightly hazy brown body with light carbonation. Spicy gingery aroma with dusty raisiny notes. Dry-sweet raisiny gingery taste with spicy mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Slightly hot, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish resiny gingery aftertaste with wooden earthy spicy notes. Nice, drinkable, subtle, and full of flavour. A harmonic and interesting beer. (0.5l bottle, from Kezmuves Csemege, Budapest. Same name, but bottle says 12 degrees Balling and 4.7% ABV.)

50cl bottle scares me upon the pour; clear amber with ero head. Looks like root beer. Smells odd too, ginger, caraway, honey, malt, cracker, some herbs, a little butter scotch. While this is a bit of a head scratcher, the flavor is similar but it all works together. Favors of honey, rye, caraway, wheat chaff, straw, ginger, slightly medicinal. Sounds odd, and it is, but it all works well together. Thin finish.
