Simple aroma, sweetish and with some yeast. The mouthfeel is very smooth, soft; it has a sweetish flavor with very little malt, some yeast and a remarkable absence of bitterness. Too much yeast in the bottle. Drinkable. nicholai (101), Helsinki, Finland Jan 14, 2006 Very nice little local brewery, This particular beer is smells yeasty with the chestnut not punching through as much as I’d hoped. Its there through. The taste is well rounded, but again not overly chestnut. A sweet balance with no discernible aftertaste. Might improve with age. maeib (4072), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Oct 17, 2005 Updated: Mar 23, 2007Bottled. I had a large selection of Sornin beers to choose from at the Intermarche in Beaune. However as I was unfamiliar with the brewery and skeptical that it actually existed but was merely a supermarket rebadge I just picked the one up. Additionally it seems to be the only one previously unrated. Really wish I’d picked them all up as this was really good. A dark amber coloured beer with a good off-white head. The aroma is sweet and barnyardy funky with a little citrus fruit. The taste is more of the same with a good mixture of sourish funk and some good citrus hoppinbess. A good beer. Note to self....when next in Beaune....
