4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating but was purchased recently. Pours lightly hazy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge mango, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, passion fruit, caramel, floral, and light herbal. Fantastic aromas with huge tropical fruit notes; it is unlike any other DIPA I have had in the past. Big hop sweetness; but it is so inviting even without the pine resin I am so used to having in an IPA. Taste of big orange, pineapple, mango, caramel, pine, grapefruit, passion fruit, tangerine, orange rind, floral, honey, and herbal spiciness. Nice amount of spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tropical fruits, citrus, citrus rind, pine, caramel, floral, herbal, and grass on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic hop complexity and malt balance; zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly creamy, slick, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA. Huge hop complexity and balance; very smooth and easy to sip on. This was truly unique as a DIPA, and highly enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber thanks to michaelinwa. Pours a cloudy brownish-orange color with a small foamy head that quickly fades to a ring. Aroma is tropical fruit mostly with caramel and toffee too. Taste is moderately sweet up front with caramel and toffee malt. Turns to thick, juicy citrus and tropical fruit. Moderately bitter in the finish. Thick body, oily and syrupy. A very odd DIPA but I enjoyed it mostly.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml brown bottle. Deep golden orange pour with haze. Light and creamy beige ring of foam sticks to the edge of the glass and a light film covers the surface, some nice thick bands of lace left behind. Nose has citrusy marmalade type hops, pretty fruity, also a sweet caramel note behind it, pretty nice but not as bright as I was expecting. Taste has grapefruit and orange peel hops, piney at the end with a bit of a resiny bite. Decent piney and citrus peel aftertaste, bitterness sticks around a long time. Bit of a heavy body on this one, carbonation is a bit soft. Pretty enjoyable, could be more aromatic and a touch more carbonated and this would be a real home run for me, still good though, and I would drink it again.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Amber body with thick, frothy, caramel-colored topping. Overwhelming, juicy orange aroma swarms over the olfactory receptors; towards the end, pineapple and tropical fruit notes emerge. Acerbic orange body, citrusy with not much malt balance. Some cloying, sticky tropical fruit notes arise as well. A touch of damp sock at the end. Some will love this citra-infusion, but just too off-balance and lopsidedly orange for me.

Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival. Dry and earthy underneath; bright, green, resin-and-citrus-hoppy good throughout. Detected some spice in there somewhere too. Finish is bitter and lingering.

Sampled at the GCBF 2013. Amber, light tan head. Nose is citraesque, stonefruit, tangerine, candied apricot. Flavour is caramel, tangerine, low bitterness for the style. Low carbonation, medium mouthfeel. Very nice. Much more nose than flavour.

Pours a slightly hazy brown-orange with a thin off-white head with good retention. Buttery, sweet aroma - almost doughy. Doughy sweet malt flavour, very rich. Spicy hop & lightly astringent malt finish. Thick creamy body, moderate carb. What a treat!
