4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating but was purchased recently. Pours lightly hazy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge mango, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, passion fruit, caramel, floral, and light herbal. Fantastic aromas with huge tropical fruit notes; it is unlike any other DIPA I have had in the past. Big hop sweetness; but it is so inviting even without the pine resin I am so used to having in an IPA. Taste of big orange, pineapple, mango, caramel, pine, grapefruit, passion fruit, tangerine, orange rind, floral, honey, and herbal spiciness. Nice amount of spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tropical fruits, citrus, citrus rind, pine, caramel, floral, herbal, and grass on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic hop complexity and malt balance; zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly creamy, slick, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA. Huge hop complexity and balance; very smooth and easy to sip on. This was truly unique as a DIPA, and highly enjoyable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Q-Brick. Dark amber-orange. Butterscotch, toffee in the nose. Heavy and sweet, with stone fruits, butterscotch. Not what I want in a W-IPA. Too sweet and syrupy.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2014 Tap at Qbrick. Balanced caramel and deep hoppy nose. Dark copper/amber color. Rather sweet initial, with a rush of overripe dates and caramel thickness. Some solid citrus. Sweetens up again in the finish. Nice enough. Hitting well within its weight class. But overall a bit too sweet, even edging on cloying.

Pours a hazy orangish copper with a frothy white head. Aroma of caramel, tropical fruits, mango, guava and melon. Taste is caramel, tropical fruits, mango, cantaloupe and sweet malty finish that goes semi dry with a well balanced bitterness. Very well balanced double and never seems as big as it’s abv.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber. Clouded orange brown, fading off-white foam. Nectarous tropical fruity aroma. More aggressively hopped fruity taste, mostly grapefruit and citrus, well balanced with not too sweet C-malt, a bit boozy. Softer than average carbonation, medium bodied. Delicious stuff. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)
