4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 wzmoore (4) - Fishers, Indiana, USA - MAY 9, 2011I loved this beer when I had it a couple weeks ago at Brouwer’s Cafe in Seattle. I didn’t notice a lot of Belgian styling, but for an Imperial IPA, I liked it a lot. The dimly lit environment makes me hesitant to comment on the appearance, but the aroma was beautiful and citrusy. The palate was creamy and resinous, but not overwhelmingly so. Overall, I thought this beer was dynamite stuff. I hope I get to try more from this new Washington state brewery.

Draught at Devil Craft, Tokyo - RBJG#2. Clear amber - white head. Nice hoppy, fruity hoppy, amber malts, lovely bitterness, super fresh hoppy, resin, citrus, dry bitter finish. Lovely - fresh and complex.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 brenn79 (1194) - Idaho, USA - APR 19, 2013
22 oz. bottle- Pours hazy golden with a one finger white head. Aroma is hoppy, tropical fruits, pine, bitter. The taste is the same, this is definitely hopped up to IPA status, like a Belgo IPA imperialized. Body is medium full and carbonation is high. As it warms some caramel malt presents itself, very disappointing, started out so good.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 shoulderbroken (1125) - Tokyo, JAPAN - APR 2, 2013
Tap at Devil Craft. Golden colour with small white head. Aroma fruity, funky.
Taste is bit Belgian, bit chemical. Pretty regular tripel type brew, and pretty nice but bit of strangeness. Quite spiky. Another speedy rating as I think I ordered too late again. When will I learn?

Phone rating. 22oz bottle, courtesy of a friend. Thanks, Chris! Pours a lightly hazy, peachy-orange color; mixed-bubbled white best with weblike lacing. Lots of esters in the nose, seemingly fermented warm: cotton candy and bubble gum, plus a hint of pepper, on the sweet side. Flavor follows suit, with lots of caramelized banana and cotton candy; unchecked eaters, lots of sweetness. Alcohol and citrusy bitterness helps, but still an eater bomb with plenty o? sugar. Lasting sweetness on the finish, with a bit of welcome pepper.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Crit (3070) - New Westminster, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 26, 2013
Gold, small white head.Nose of carmel & fruit juice.Palate of bubblegum, candy sugar and hops with medium alcohol heat.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Prufrockstar (200) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Draft. Big hoppy punch in the nose (pine, grapefruit, tropical citrus). Clear gold amber, white head dissipates immediately. Irregular lacing. Taste: Wit meets IPA meets sour. Unexpected. Citrus fruits, weeds, grapefruit, funk, pepper. Long dirty bitter finish. Moderate carbonation and medium body. Overall: Not at all what I expected. The flavors aren’t exactly all over the place, but seem to clash with each other in their effort to all fit through the door at once. Want to try this one again.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 superspak (1464) - Michigan, USA - JAN 23, 2013
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a nice 2 finger fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of big mango, pineapple, orange peel, pepper, clove, banana, bubblegum, herbal, floral, grass, earth, and spicy yeast esters. Damn nice aromas with good balance, complexity, and strength of hop and yeast ester notes. Taste of big mango, pineapple, orange zest, banana, clove, pepper, pear, bubblegum, grass, floral, bread, honey, and earthy yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of citrus, tropical fruit, clove, banana, pepper, floral, grass, pear, and earthy yeast spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity and balance of hops flavors and spicy yeast esters; with zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a slick and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a moderate warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent hoppy Belgian strong golden ale! Great complexity and balance of hop and yeast esters; and very smooth to sip on for 10%. A highly enjoyable offering.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 KansaiBeerLvrs (228) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 18, 2013
On Draft at Lezzet’s part of a 1000 yen tasting set. Obviously an American craft beer following the current trend of adding tons of hops to every style. You definitely feel the 10%, a decent gold color and mouthfeel. My first impression was a piney floral aroma followed by a strong hoppy taste and some warming in my stomach. It is pretty nice but not my cup of tea, if you like your beers hoppy & strong this beers for you.
