Serving: from tap at Sound Brewery Tasting Room. Aroma: moderate cherry aroma. Appearance: small, white, initial head that quickly disappeared. No lacing. Clear, flat, red body. Taste: lightly sour initial flavor and finish. Short duration. Palate: light body, dry texture, lively/fizzy carbonation. Overall: interesting aroma and flavor. Reminded me of a Belgian ale.

Bottle:   Deep caramel, reddish hued, thin sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Mealy nose, pale breadiness, slight mustiness.   Faint breadiness, maltiness, with a hint of ashtray on the backside.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, leaning thin.   Has that really musty English IPA like aroma and flavor.   Why anyone would want to duplicate that, I donít know.   Leave that to the English, to send over their beers to get extremely hot in containers and them sell them at a premium on the west coast.   No need to brew a beer that exhibits that extreme heat factor.   Body and mouthfeel are thin to moderate.   Pale buttery malts and breadiness on the finish.   Blech, in terms of authenticity, yep, tastes like ass.   This could have been on a ship for 2 months as far as I can tell.   Not a beer style I would try to duplicate, unless I bumped up everything about it except the 130F container it sat in for a month.

Amber colored beer with an off-white head. Big diacetyl aroma, toast, bread, and some fruit. Grassy hops, water, and butterscotch. The flavor is buttery, toasty, and watery. Grass, light bitterness, some fruit esters, and butterscotch. Thin bodied, too.

Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, butterscotch and light fruitiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, toffee, buterscotch and light fruittiness with a smooth dry lingering butterscotch finish.

Amber/Irish red body, thinnish head, thicker around the edges. Somewhat tannic nose, rather abrupt and this hopping. The flavor is roasty caramel malts with a dry, tannic finish.

Draft at NCBC. Pours a hazy dark, dark amber with a loose whitish head. Big sweet caramel and brown bread nose, with faint hints of dark pitted tree fruit somewhere in the background. Creamy medium body with subdued carb. Sweet malty caramel and brown bread mid palate. Mild finish.

1/6 barrel from Chucks. Smells a little Windexy but tastes pretty good. Slightly acidic and bitter up front, it mellows out considerably and finishes rather dry and clean. Looks gorgeous as well, ruby red.

Reddish in color, clear with a thin head. Nice strong hops and malt aroma and flavors. Good floral and earth like flavors. This was tasty and very dry in the finish. This has the big flavors and will leave you wondering what you just drank. One of the most interesting brews of the day.
