3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
red chestnut brown- not red enough. long lasting bit of white foam ring. Aroma malt caramel toffee bread. Tastes nutty chestnuts, dark toast. Clean drinking but creamy. Sorta watery. Seems like a slightly darker roasted bitter- which is good, maybe not the most true to style.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep red with a tan head. Malty and light earth notes, with a sweet toasted caramel backbone. Easy going and tasty. Not a very memorable beer, but a good evening drinker.

Looks & smells great. Dark amber, but not opaque. Aroma of fruit and vanilla. The drinking experience doesn't live up sadly. Watery texture with the fruit, caramel and vanilla not balancing. It's not bad it's just ok.

Dark amber color with small head. The aroma is very nutty; dark caramel, solid wood furniture, grains; really good. Dry mouthfeel; the flavor focuses on dark caramel with grainy malt, correct bitterness.
Fantastic aroma, ok flavor.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
650ml bottle pours amber in color with a creamy off-white head that retains well and leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel with some bready grains and mild herbal notes. Taste is a herbal hop bitterness with a caramel malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Overall, this brew suits the style ok and is decently balanced, but not one of the best in class.

Bottle shared by mrs. Quash. Aroma is lightly sweet and toffee with a touch of toast. Taste is really estery and fruity. Light toffee in the flavor. Overall just a fruit bomb.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle:   Deep caramel, reddish hued, thin sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Mealy nose, pale breadiness,
slight mustiness.   Faint breadiness, maltiness, with a hint of ashtray on the backside.   Body and mouthfeel are
moderate, leaning thin.   Has that really musty English IPA like aroma and flavor.   Why anyone would want to
duplicate that, I donít know.   Leave that to the English, to send over their beers to get extremely hot in containers
and them sell them at a premium on the west coast.   No need to brew a beer that exhibits that extreme heat factor.
Body and mouthfeel are thin to moderate.   Pale buttery malts and breadiness on the finish.   Blech, in terms
of authenticity, yep, tastes like ass.   This could have been on a ship for 2 months as far as I can tell.   Not a
beer style I would try to duplicate, unless I bumped up everything about it except the 130F container it sat in for a
