4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
I love porters. This one is right where I like it. Not over the top but still dark and slightly rich. Toasty malt flavor with very light taste of hops.

Bottle. shared with Parksy and others at the lake, May long weekend. Dark brown, copper highlights, lasting tan head. Bitter chocolate, roast, light fruit acids in the finish. We had a few porters this weekend, not all good, but this one was pretty solid.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Amber hued clear dark brown, mostly fading tan foam. Darker roast aroma, some chocolate. Roasty malty taste, bittersweet chocolate, some coffee bean, mild Noble influence. Average carbonation, medium bodied, moderately hopped. Very well put together, tasty and easy to pound. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft: Incredibly delicious porter. Very balanced, too. Nice and velvety texture. Lots of chocolate throughout, along with a bit of char and some light roast. Perfect amount of milk-like sweetness -- just a touch to soften the hop bitterness. Fantastic background hints of tobacco, toast and vanilla. One of the best porters I’ve had in a while.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours black as night with a micro head that stayed cloudy to the bottom, great lacing. The taste is roasted coffee, sweet chocolate and some citrus bitterness. A little thin and not as smooth and creamy as I’d like. I think this is a bit Baltic.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours an almost completely opaque black with a thick beige head. Tons of lacing blotches. The aroma is rich and roasty with light caramel and vanilla notes. A bit sweet with chocolate notes and light toasted notes. The finish has mild mannered hops with a bit of citrus bitterness and floral notes. A nice robust porter
