I love porters. This one is right where I like it. Not over the top but still dark and slightly rich. Toasty malt flavor with very light taste of hops.

On tap at post street ale house
Nice dark brown with a sheet of light cocoa powder foam. Smells of sweet malts and some nutty character. Some toast and Graham on the nose. Flavor is sweet cocoa, leather, some rye bread a bit of coffee and some pleasant soil hints.medium on full bodied with a good soft carb and some dryness on a mostly watering finish. I really fund the mouth feel here outstanding.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at college inn. Deep dark pour, tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted coffee. Taste follows, with nice roast bitter finish, mildly sweet. Smooth texture, surprisingly full body, average carbonation. Overall: I'm impressed by how tasty this is. Feels more like a stout to me (if there's really any diff b/w stout and porter in the first place).

On tap at the GJBF Osaka. Fantastic creamy chocolate notes to this porter. A full bodied smelling beer with a small tan head & a dark clear brown. Wow, the flavor gives you more roastiness and coffee but with a chocolate backbone. A delicious beer for 5.1% with great balance. Frikin’ excellent.

Tap at GJBF 2013. Big chocolate nose, minerals. Rather light body, thin, flavors of chocolate, coffee, nuts. Decent porter. Nose better than mouth.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Serving: from tap at Sound Brewery Tasting Room.
Aroma: light, coffee aroma.
Appearance: small, light brown, initial head that quickly disappeared. No lacing. Clear, flat, reddish brown body.
Taste: lightly acidic initial flavor and finish. Long duration.
Palate: medium body, dry texture, lively carbonation.
Overall: seemed too acidic and fizzy for a porter, but I’d try it again since the other beers were so good.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Root beer color, ok head. Nice clean roast nose, with wonderful use of black patent, but NO chocolate. Really enjoyable, fairly simple, yet elegantly executed body. Roasty, slightly smoky black patent emphasis. Very focused.

Dark opaque brown color, medium-sized brownish head. Aroma of caramel and some toasted notes. Medium-bodied. Chocolate, caramel, maltyness. Sweetish porter but I liked it! My first beer from this brewery.

Dark brown in color, clear with a thin tan head. Coffee, chocolate like aromas with a strong porter flavor coffee and dark rich malt. This was a rib sticker. Thick and tasty. Loved the flavors and the finish. A great new brewer and new beer.
