UPDATED: JUL 6, 2013 This is a fantastic trippel with hints of its northwestern origin in the ever so slightly hoppy finish. Enjoy it in the late afternoon sun overlooking the puget sound.

A decent Tripel overall. Pour a cloudy orange with a white head. Smells good, bright fruit and citrus. Taste is citrus, wheat and fruit. Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber. A very peachy yeast flavor but accompanied by strong fusel alcohol and sweetness. Doable for me but still sweet.

On tap at Gnarly Barley. Herbal aroma with some light black pepper and sweet pilsner malt. Hazy gold under a thin white collar. Slightly tangy and slightly sweet, but not sugary, flavour with banana and papaya esters and week pepper phenolics. Medium light body, medium high carbonation.

Rating #1450 - 22.01.2015 - Bottle from CBI. Pours a cloudy golden colour, with a frothy white foam. Aroma is yeasty, spiced with coriander, light citrus. Hop presence is bold, complex, alcohol is well tempered but omnipresent. Great measures of sweet confectioner’s sugar, citrus, bitterness, and texture. A world-class Tripel.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours deep golden with a white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, some light banana and clove, some pale and caramel malts, and some weird light fruits. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not the best tripel.

Golden amber color. Bready fruity marmalade nose with very american take on a Belgian triple but I do appreciate its uniqueness. Full body and boozy. For an American triple it is pretty good, but not my favorite.

Not my style of tripel. Pours a dark straw with a finger of dense off white head. The aroma is strong with yeast and spices. Lightly floral and spiced with cloves and coriander. Toasted bread malts and caramel sweetness up front with floral notes throughout. Light peppery hops and an earthy yeast flavour. Overall the finish is boozy and a bit bitter. Just an odd showing stylistically.

Bottle at home. Poured cloudy orange, light head of form that disappeared quickly. Aroma is light and fruity; lots of apple and some hay. Taste is of apple and bread, slightly sweet. Medium body. Easy drinking for almost 10 percent. Enjoyable, but not earth shattering.

On Tap at the Poulsbo tasting room Light bright golden yellow Lasing white soapy head. Lots of sweet light maltiness. Terrific Belgian yeast character. Some bitter papery notes at the end.

Bottle. Head is initially small, white, fizzy/frothy, mostly to fully diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (malt syrup, grain), with notes of bubble gum, overripe banana, cotton candy, corn syrup, alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately to heavily alcoholic. Pretty horrid...sugar-coated cartoonish Americanized version of a Belgian strong golden, all Bubble Yum and blackened banana, sugar sugar sugar. Complete drain pour.
