imdownthepub (4224), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Aug 23, 2008 Cask conditioned at The Yard Arm, Plymouth, Devon, sold as Helen & Bridgets Best here. Gold with white head. Fruity light blonde ale, quite hoppy in aroma but just fails to deliver in flavour. Probably quite dull overall, but it’s ok. johndoughty (1692), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Jan 18, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy orange appearance. Flat and fruity. Some hop presence but the appearance put me of. Fin (2448), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jan 8, 2007 Bottle, picked up from a garage outside Paignton, Devon. Golden in colour with a slight haze, very fresh tasting, zippy, hoppy, good bitterness, a nice beer. dj (393), Gloucestershire, England Oct 9, 2006 Cask gravity at the Abbotskerswell Beer and Food Festival, 07/10/2006. A golden colour with no head. A hoppy aroma with citric orange and honey. A light hoppy taste with more citrus. A moderately bitter, somewhat watery finish. There’s nothing wild about this blonde beer - the aroma is better than the taste.
