Bottle generously shared by Sparky...thanks, my friend! Aroma of used coffee grounds, caramel, and a little vanilla. Flavor is similar. Fairly smooth...no off flavors. Medium mouthfeel.

Bottle - Pours deep brown with a rapidly dissipating frothy tan head. Nose is light bourbon sweetness with pronounced creme de menthe, chocolate, and a bit of coffee grounds. Real smooth, with a nice medium roast, creme de menthe, irish creme, a bit of sweet oaky bourbon. A bit of a flat finish, with a bit of coffee and some sweet syrupy flavors mingling with the oak. A little thinner than I expected, and not a ton of carbonation. Going to have to agree with some of the others that it tastes a bit artificial, but it still works pretty well. For one pour, it’s pretty pleasant.

GTMW ’13 Terrible... Things in this beer were mixed that should not have been mixed.. first off mint and bourbon.. no.. I thought this sounded interesteding but a 2oz sample was still too much.

Sampled at ABR07. I have to say, these guys ruined my day. All the rare, one-off beers and I have the best one within 20 minutes of walking in. This thinkg was delicious. Superbly well done coffee flavor that doesn’t bite the stomach. Intense mint Aroma and flavor with a bit of chocolate hanging around. Thick body. Mint flavor lingered quite a while.

Always thought adding mint to a stout would be good, so now I finally tried a pour at RBSG. Pours out black with a thin tan head. Aroma is of coffee, chocolate, roast, and very subtle mint notes. Taste is chocolate, heavy oaky bourbon, roast, coffee and some lingering mint in the background. Lots going on.

750ml bottle poured into snifter. Dark black pour with thin head. Aroma has slight hints of peppermint and chocolate but not a lot of bourbon. Flavor isn’t too exiting. Very faint hints of chocolate and malt, other then that it’s somewhat bland and boring.

SUPERIOR FALLFEST: Black Coloring with Sandy Head. Wonderful Complex Aroma...of Chocolate, Sweet Malt, Mint with a Light Coffee and Bourbon Whiskey Notes Mixing In and Out. Roasted Coffee Notes Balancing out Sweet Malt - Chocolate and Mint Notes Most Prominant with a Slight Whiskey Background.. Overall, the Bourbon Aging Seems to Push Out the Chocolate Mint Flavors to Make it Really Creamy, Rich Chocolate/Minty Brew That’s Quite Enjoyable!

Rosebud butternuts (2396) - Denton, Texas, USA - SEP 4, 2011
poured a deep brown with a fizzy tan head that fades. aroma was very upfront with mint, then cinnamon, oak, and chocolate. flavor was mint, watery coffee, dark roasts, and alcohol. body was thin and fizzy. I had really high hopes for this one. I just wish the base was an impy stout or something stronger.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. Big aroma of mint, coffee, and tobacco. The flavor is minty, tobacco, a slight brettanomyces character, bourbon. This is a bit muddled.

Wow! That was my initial reaction- incredibly tastey. Makes you want to lick the entire glass inside and out after you are finished. Poured a very dark, thick black colour with a reddish tint. Head was finger sized, brown and sticky. Creamy mouthfeel is an understatement. Minty, dark chocolate and coffee notes. Faint but noticeable oak and whiskey spirit underlining the taste of this beer. Awesome!
