COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our only named beer to date. Its' honorary status is in tribute to its' designer, Allen Rhoades, a fellow brewer who captured a blue ribbon at the Western Washington State Fair when it was entered as a homebrew. It's everything a stout should be. Rich and hearty, not thick and overpowering, comes complete with a creamy head. Chocolate and crystal malts along with roasted barley combine to create the wonderful flavor. Compliments deserts well: try one in place of a cup of coffee.

Hearty, roasted stout with plenty of coffee bitters and enough accompanying, sweeter mal action to put cream in that heady coffee.

Dark brown with a healthy head. Coffee/malt smell. Coffeeish flavor. There’s something about the mouthfeel that I just don’t like, but I just can’t figure out exactly what.

Brown opaque with a deep tan, somewhat fizzy, head. Aromas of roast barley, molasses, and slightly vinous and alcohol as it warms. Sweet roasted barley, light caramel, and toast flavors. A decent sweet stout with a dry malty finish.

This is my local brewery and this is certainly the best drink in town. solid, near black in color. The head is always thick but could be creamier. I like it creamy. Good balance of hops and well roasted malt. The right combination gives a good coffee flavor. Full bodied enough but never heavy or overbearing.

Barely translucent. Slighlty hoppy aroma. Nice initial roastiness, though restrained, with a nice fairly dry finish. Right on the edge on the porter/stout territories. Quite solid.
