3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at brewpub
A standard pale ale, this draft at least offers some regional flair that makes it the best fallback on pint night. If sessionable hop driven beers tickle your fancy then grab one with dinner. Even if you don’t it makes a good benchmark for their better releases to help prepare the palate.
Aroma / Appearance - A caramel bronze body glimmers below head that looks like fresh layers of frosting. Malt and wheat sweep to a woody impression that dissipates quickly.
Flavor / Palate - The fluid body might be a little tame. Even so it generates interest with wave after wave of gentle hops and pine. It feels a bit like someone on the East Coast read about West Coast hop driven beer then tried to make a clone. Mostly it gets the job done without much fuss; you just won’t be trading anything special to get your taste.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not bad. Pours brown/orange, brief and small head, no real lace. The aroma is bready, a little bit of pine. The flavor is malty, a little musty, the centennial hops are right there. There’s a slight slightly citrus aftertaste. Decent.

(2012 US backlog, recollected in abstinent tranquility). Full pint drafts @source, C’ville VA 14/09/2012. Fresh and pleasant-for-sessioning brewpub APA, with a certain direct Cascade lustre on the nose, decently repeated in the flavour, and malts taking obvious second stage. Nothing spectacular, more than serviceable after strolling in the late VA sun.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A ho hum average pale ale, perhaps a tad below average, really. Poured the amber color with a white type head, good lacing. The aroma was citrus and caramel. Flavor followed, not nearly as bitter as I was hoping, residual sweetness present too? Grainy. Mouthfeel moderate in body and carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aromas of citrus fruit and bread. Clear red, with quickly diminishing, white head. Lightly sweet, with some berry flavors, but well-balanced with the hops. Medium-full body, with average carbonation, and a long, bitter finish with some toast.
