COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light German-style lager brewed with Pilsen, Belgian Crystal and Wheat malts, then balanced with Mt. Hood, German Tradition and Centennial hops. This brilliant golden beer, comprised of non-traditional ingredients, is lager at its most drinkable.

Enjoyed a taste of this beer while in the brewpub in Charlottesville, VA. The beer had a clear rich amber-red color with a good-sized foamy head with shorter retention, good lacing, and average cling. Its aroma had a lighter floral and citrus hops blend along with some malty caramel and a very light candy presence. The taste was a slightly sweet caramel malt flavor mixed with some grainy bitterness and sourness, but was a bit underdeveloped overall. The beer had a watery, lighter and thinner mouthfeel, and was a touch wet, with lower carbonation and fizz.

Poured an orange type color. Aroma of corn and grains. Flavor of sweet corn, cereal, grains, sweet fruits even. Mouthfeel a bit sticky, not dry at all, moderate to full in body. Would have believed it was a strong lager based on that alone. Meh.

Biscuits, toast, and floral hops on the nose. Clear golden complexion, with white head, low retention. Lightly sweet, and lightly bitter, with good balance. Light body, little carbonation, and a short, bready, sweet finish.

Sample on tap at the brewpub. Clear yellow / orange color. minimal white head. Hay / straw hops. Light pepper. Lighter carbonation. Smooth, crisp. Mild bitter taste, light sweetness. Admirable for a lager (but probably more accurately described as a pils)

Draft. Pours gold with a thin white head. Clean and grainy aroma with a hint of wheat. The flavor has grain and straw with just a hint of sweetness. Pretty good.

Draft at brewpub. Poured a light amber color, small off-white head. Aroma is grainy malts, corn/adjuncts. Flavor is mild sweetness, fruit notes, grains. Okay for a lager.

At first glance it didn’t look too bad, poured a golden colour, though the absence of head should have been a warning signal for the horrors to come. The aroma was dominated by those grapefruit aromas you expecty from American hops, some breadiness in there as well, but also a disturbing hint of ashtray. The taste was malty sweet, like cookie dough almost, with a touch of hop bite to add a counterpoint. The mouthfeel was flabby and slightly oily. Really, this was so bad I couldn’t finish the half pint I ordered.

Pours a light blonde with a little head. Light flavor, not overpowering. Pleasant.

No head but there was some lacing. Light golden color, of course a thin but with a nice clean bitter finish

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear light amber color with a medium head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is pale, grainy malts, corn and subtle fruity notes. Taste is grassy hops, sweet malts and caramel, and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied.
