Hazmatt (358), Virginia, USA Oct 23, 2005 Draught at Richmond Beer and Wine Festival 2000 or 2001. Amber color, decent head. Smooth, malt characteristic balanced well with hops. Somewhat crisp. Kept going back to this one.
Alraomon (64), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Sep 29, 2008 A ruby, dark golden pour. Pretty much no head, which was a bit disappointing. There’s not a whole lot going on here at all.
Very malty, sweet and fruity... a little cherry? Nice.
Mild, a little fruity, barley sweet, with a touch of hops. Reasonable balance, but the taste is a little lacking, as is mouthfeel. Carbonation is alright in the beginning and becomes a bit watery on the finish.
Alright, but a little unimpressive all in all, unfortunately.
19641948 (492), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Aug 19, 2008 "Most popular" beer there according to my barkeep. My initial thought? Meh. It’s OK. Auburn color with a scant head. Quiet aromas with some hoppiness but otherwise inocuous. Maltiness is reserved. Watered-down iced tea? Heathen (525), Riverside, New Jersey, USA Jul 28, 2008 THOUGHTS: Good, but was very watered down.
TECHNICAL: On tap at South street brewery. Was a medium to dark orangish red with a small, white head that completely diminished with no lacing. The aroma was caramel and burt malt with slight hops. The flavor was sweet caramel malt then some hops. In the front of the mouth the flavor is great then it washes away in the back of the mouth. The light to medium body was watery with soft carbonation. dkachur (999), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jun 25, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Reddish amber color with a malty grain aroma. Big malty taste with grain and caramel notes. Medium body. kassner (203), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 12, 2008 I had this beer on tap at the brewery. The beer was not as balance as advertised, but what stood out for me is the buttery aroma. The color is a dark amber. tasta a little fruity, with butter notes clear. It was only mildly carbonated and finished a little sweet. It was a little short on hops.
