Commercial Description:
A very special 'Old Ale' brewed to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Brewed with a melting pot of ingredients and techniques to pay homage to our European (and American!) influences. A truly international brew!

Pours a copper hued dark brown with a nice slightly off white head. Aroma of sweet malts, fig and some caramel. Taste is complex, up front very sweet, caramel, fig, fruit, slight smoke and a little bit of spice here and there. Interesting brew.

750 bottle corked and caged pours a chewy caramel brown color with a two finger tan head that had good retention. aroma has dark malt, plumb, figs, light alcohol, and some funky yeast. mouth feel is medium thin with lots of fizzy carbonation.flavor has chewy malts, plenty of sweetness, dark fruit, and nice funky damp yeasty notes. spice picks up as does the sweetness that borders on syrupy at points. super chewy and spiced up. this has aged well so far.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with a thick tan head. Aroma strongly of squash and sourness. Flavor is kind of odd: sour oakiness, soda-like, earthiness. Didn’t taste boozy, but it had that effect. Odd is the best way to describe it and I wasn’t much of a fan.

Bottle. Aroma of dark fruits, some wood, some soda. Flavor all soda, sickly sweet. Heavy sweetness. Odd, biting carbonation reflected in large-bubbled lacing. Absolutely no hops present to balance the sweetness, and so much soda. Felt more like a rum and coke to me. A struggle to finish 12-14 oz.

Can’t remember who to thank for this bottle...sorry! Pours a rich brown color, quite opaque as well. Head is tan and thin with a modest amount of lacing. Aroma is rich with lots of raisin and dark fruit tones. Very slight toasted malt note as well. Flavor is very rich with lots of dark fruit and malt. Very nicely balanced with a great palate feel! Slight warm notes in the back of the throat. I really, really like this beer! It’s very delicious in every aspect!

Bottle (750ml). Shared by blankboy with GregClow, jerc and tupalev. Hazy deep ruby with a solid fizzy-foamy pancake batter tan head (4+). Sweet dry leafy malt aroma, mid-level alcohol, a hint of wood resin, lots of lush dry spice over sweet malt. Slightly nutty sweet caramel malt flavour, some vanilla and black cherry, very spicy and yeasty. Syrupy mouthfeel, oddly only average of body, spicy-bitter and alcoholic in the finish - really, really good - the components have really interpenetrated smoothly.
