Aug 11, 2004 Murky chestnut colour. Richly malty aroma with prunes, raisins, yeast, light caramel and a hint of alcohol. Very sweet dark malt palate with hints of raisins and smoke. Soft, sweet finish that is slightly honeyish but never cloying.

Apr 27, 2007 Cloudy dark amber color with red shades. Malty and with a lot of caramel. Also maltier taste than many others, some sweetness, too much candi sugar. Powerful, pleasant to drink, but too much monodimensional.

Apr 21, 2008 [Thanks Sk8viking] Murky brown with medium beige head. Sweet fruity aroma with notes of caramel, fruits, roasted malt and ripe fruits.Sweet flavor with overripe fruits, roasted malt, yeast and tofee. Ends sweet.

Jan 5, 2008 (750ml bottle, thanks Shadrach) Large beige head atop lightly hazed brown body. Aroma is sweet, raisin, bubblegum/candi sugar, caramel, some grape, plum. Taste is sweet, raisin/plum, caramel, pastry, some almond, honey, light herbal/grassy, alcohol burn. Sweetness intensifies as the beer warms. Full body that is effervescent with some stickiness -- these qualities make it hard to drink more than a smallish sip at a time. Alcohol noticeable but not unpleasant.

Sep 22, 2007 Bottle from Duff drunk at Chris_o’s HogTownHarry meet up. Hazy amber, thick lasting beige. Smells like a Belgian wit to start with. Some brown sugar, Belgian yeast. Too sweet in mouth. Really odd. Fruity. Tooe sweet. "Yewh" from Duff, apparently.

May 1, 2007 Bottle. Pours a deep brown colour. Sweet caramel, malty, bit spicy and hoppy aroma. Flavour of mildly roasted malt, caramel, nuts, dark fruits, spices and alcohol. Sweet roastish and spicy finish.

Bottle at Chris_O’s HogTownHarry minifest. Thanks to Duff. Nice amber colour with a good tan head. Very Belgian and yeasty and rather too sweet for me. All the parts are present but just not particularly balanced at all. Possibly the least complex quad I have tried and a bit of a let down in all honesty.
