Mouthfeel is medium bodied with soft carbonation. Enjoyable and easy to drink Alt. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA

Light sweet caramel aroma with a mild spice way in the background. Mostly light palate. Very light caramel notes, slight sour turn at the end. Not a whole lot of flavor, but a nice Kolsch. jwdevalue (158), Neptune, New Jersey, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 26, 2007 Pours a clear dark ruby brown with no head. Nose is malty and sweet. Overall subdued. Flavor is just a touch of wood with a fair portion of sweet and a metallic aftertaste. Feel is low on the bubble, but a decent thicker liquid feel. I have to say that this one falls a bit short. I know Southampton puts out some good stuff, but this isn’t really one of them. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 25, 2007 Pours a clear, dark maroon, with a bubbly off white head. Smells fairly malty, with some mild caramel, and light fruits. Mild overall. The flavor has a little bitter tartness to it. Definite malt presence, but the hops really seem to make an appearance. Altbier’s usually arent that exciting to me, but this one seems pretty well crafted. The finish is slightly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Not bad. performula (147), Triangle Area, North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 19, 2007 Color looks great, decent smell, but not much going on. Malty smell and finish might have a little caramel/toffee in there. Hardly any carbonation. radagast83 (1317), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
