Have had an older batch that was shared by EDA, that was good. This rating is for the 2009 release in bombers, shared at BCTC. It is a very pale, clear color. Aroma is lightly cheesy and faint basement, wrapped in a light hay/wheat shell. Flavor has a lot of nice tart lemon characteristics along with a seltzer strength mouthfeel. Dry and tart aftertaste lingers for a little bit. Soft beer, done to style, others were telling me its getting more tart/sour. I liked it, good Berliner.

(22oz, bottle #123/150, 2009 vintage) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of lemon wafers, vanilla, subtle horseblanket, and apple cider. Flavor of lemon, wheat, lacto, dough, and brett. Tasty!

JW77 hooks up another crazy rare gem. Thanks John. Cloudy pale yellow pour. White head. Lemon, dry earth, yeast and light bready notes. Nice carbonation and flavor is wonderful. Light lemons, light honey, yeast, dryness. A great berliner.

22 oz bottle, 2009. Clear pale gold pours with a big, airy white head. Settles with active bubbles. Nose is dough and honey with a spritz of lemon; fresh like an ocean breeze. Crisp and juicy medium light with a clean finish. Taste is lemon and sour wheat; a touch milky. Quite tart but not so much that my teeth hurt. Lovely.

Might be one of the best beers iíve ever had, iíd quite possibly punch my mom for another drank. Not sure if iíve had a better berliner weisse. just enough sour, but still very drinkable. They need to release larger quantities of this one.

[Bottle] shared by tytoanderso. Thanks Tyler! Pours a clear light gold with a smallish and effervesvent head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is popcorn, light lactic acid, and I donít know if itís other smells from sitting outside, but I smell lightly toasted peanut skins. Flavor is very light, moderately sour, very dry but not astringent, and lemony. The finish is very lactic - like plain yogurt. Refreshing but disappointing based on the high ratings. 1809 blows this one away.

Lightly citric aroma, with very faint floral notes. Cloudy, straw colored body. The carbonation is medium to low. Very light lemon flavor with a dry finish. This beer offers no complexity of flavor. The taste is very light, with barely a hint of citrus/tartness/sourness. Hottenroth, 1809, and others are much tastier in my opinion.

22oz bottle. 2009 # 29/150. Mild aroma of cream of wheat and cut wet grass. A bit of footy stink. A fairly light yogurt tang. Wet bread crust with a decent pilsener malt base. Pours a glowing hazed light gold with a creamy white head. Quite crisp and refreshing on the tongue. Light acidic sharpness on the back of the tongue. Lots of wheat and lactose. Bread dough. Creamed wheat and light malt. Creamy mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Certainly a well made Berliner, but really lacking in the complexity that I hoped it would have. Thanks Kevin!

Bomber. This awesome rarity was generously shared by ipa247 on BA. Pours clear pale golden-yellow with a one-finger white head that fades. Aroma is really tart pale malt, wheat, and wild yeast. Flavor is excellent also - wheaty, lemony, and tart. About what you want for this style. Medium-light bodied with a great tart mouthfeel. Crisp and incredibly drinkable. Really solid overall, probably the best Iíve had in this style.
