Call me a homer for this beer, but I could taste it in my mouth the day after I had it on tap at the release. Iíve since had it from the bottle, and it was exactly as I remembered. Acidic yet balanced with a perfect tart raspberry sweetness. Dark, but not so thick that you canít enjoy a full pour of it. So - this is not blushing monk or framboise de amorosa. Itís also not framboise for a cure, which frankly in my mind lacked the funk or the complexity that this brew has. It stings, then it soothes, then it finishes clean. I have a few more of these and they are not for trade. Personal white whale right here. Markowski knocked it out the park on this bad boy.

Backlog 2013. Bottle courtesy of Mike at Franks with vinny, Alan, Barry and Bill. Pours a deep, deep red wine body with no head. Aroma is perfect - sour raspberry, cherries and blackberries. Mouthfeel is super tart - notes of sour cherries, black berries and raspberries, wonderfully balanced acidity, faint oak and funk.

Bottle shared courtesy Dustin. Thanks! Pours a deep murky purple shade. Aroma is flush with blackberries and raspberries, and a firm currant tone as well. This is... very sour. A little like what I imagine unripe berry juice would taste like. Heavy citric acid along with lactic notes. This is not for the uninitiated.

Bottle, huge thanks to Nick. Tasted 01/31/2014. Pours dark earthy purple, framboise-like, small hazy head with fine wisps, miniscule ring of lacing. Aroma is juicy raspberry, slight seediness, noticeable tartness with nice lactic notes, vanilla, woody finish. Taste is tart, concentrated raspberry, slightly viscous, jammy, lactic sour notes. Light medium body. Lovely, well done.

Oh yeah! A - pours hazy black cherry/berry. No real head. S - this is a nice fruited sour. Black cherries, raspberry, pomegranate/blueberry. Md raspberry jamPretty rounded sour aromas. Acetic/light basaltic vinegar. Nice lambic tones. M - nice tartness up front. Spritzy. Lightly sweet palate. Dry end. T - mmmm. This is very acetic tart. Fresh just unripe fresh blackberries, black cherries, raspberries. Nice and jammy too Very light vinegar and nice strong lemony sourness. Interesting almost desserty berrie pie notes. O - after all the hype I was nervous to try worried about being unworthy and all that. It is so good. A great combo of fresh and just unripe berries and lemony sour. Really good and really really sour. 4.3

Sample from bottle. Pours a hazy red shade with almost zero head. Bright, fresh, jammy, raspberry aroma. Very sour, dry and oaky with more great raspberry character. Very, very tasty. Although I wouldíve love the bottle to myself I was glad to share this with some great people.

Bottle. Thanks chad and kan for offering all these neat beers. Pleasant berry parfait. Black berries. Raspberries. Potent. Nice berry character. Inviting. Lemony yogurt provides nice bit of acidity to compliment the fun berry mixture. Dry. Quite drinkable. Good.
