On tap at the Southampton Publick House during the Imperial Russian Stout release. Pours a deep ruby to garnet color. Dusty raspberry, funk, wood on the nose. Long acid, and a whole heap of raspberry seeds. Tart but nicely balanced, there is a hint of acetone, but I have a feeling that will go away with a bit more aging. Black raspberry all over the place, full of seed flavor. Wood, malt, raspberry. Long acid and raspberry on the finish. Lovely acid. Great stuff.

Sampled on 10/11/12 at GABF. This sour/wild ale pours a medium reddish amber color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is raspberry, fruity and tart. A medium bodied sour/tart ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, tart and sweet. The hops are herbal. Decent carbonation. Fairly tart, with very nice slightly sweet raspberry flavors. Nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

Oh yeah! A - pours hazy black cherry/berry. No real head. S - this is a nice fruited sour. Black cherries, raspberry, pomegranate/blueberry. Md raspberry jamPretty rounded sour aromas. Acetic/light basaltic vinegar. Nice lambic tones. M - nice tartness up front. Spritzy. Lightly sweet palate. Dry end. T - mmmm. This is very acetic tart. Fresh just unripe fresh blackberries, black cherries, raspberries. Nice and jammy too Very light vinegar and nice strong lemony sourness. Interesting almost desserty berrie pie notes. O - after all the hype I was nervous to try worried about being unworthy and all that. It is so good. A great combo of fresh and just unripe berries and lemony sour. Really good and really really sour. 4.3

Bottle shared courtesy Dustin. Thanks! Pours a deep murky purple shade. Aroma is flush with blackberries and raspberries, and a firm currant tone as well. This is... very sour. A little like what I imagine unripe berry juice would taste like. Heavy citric acid along with lactic notes. This is not for the uninitiated.

LIVEFAST (62) - Mount Misery, Valley Forge, - JAN 28, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2012 On tap at the brewpub, served in an oversized brandy snifter. Dark cranberry/magenta with no real head to discuss. Nose is dominated by fresh raspberry preserves, do I have seeds in my teeth? Quite seedy indeed. Taste follows the jam-like nose, seeds and all. Lactic sourness(think yogurt), some funk, and a slightly tannic finish rounds out the flavor profile. Refreshingly tart and puckering throughout, finishes a bit dry. Still picking invisible seeds from my teeth.
