Sampled at Big Brew Beer Festival (Morristown). Poured a hazy golden color with a big foamy off white head. Aroma of rotted citrus and caramel malt. Taste of ripened lemons, grapefruit skins, and caramel malt.

Undated (definitely a late 2013) bottle from Half Time, drunk 2/15/14
Bronze body is somewhat hazy, despite the bottle resting in the fridge for quite a while. Strange. There is also no head to be coaxed out. Rather still in the glass...
Yep, quite burtonized as advertised. Lots of limestone, earthiness, very light acidity and a touch of salinity. Spicy hops are quite evident and help add complexity while a touch of bready malts are mostly dry and unassuming. A bit of diacetyl in there as well. Not overbearing and it works in a British IPA most of the time, though it certainly clashes with the clean, peppery spiciness of the hops. Moderate aroma strength, no alcohol noted.
Carbonated enough in texture and not yeasty or nutty so I donít know where the haziness is coming from. There is a touch of something on the bottom. Half Time keeps their place well-lit and warm so it could just be protein break. Maybe the bottle is like 5 or 6 months old at this point? Dosent seem bottle conditioned either. Oh ya, and the flavor, thereís that too. Nice hop presence, with lime, hay, black pepper and just a touch of orange zest. It is balanced by a lightly sweet bready maltiness and finishes lightly bitter with plenty of mineral character and a bit of vanilla-like flavor. A touch of wateriness, but nowhere near the low carbonation I was expecting based on the complete lack of head. I guess playing with the pH and chemical content of the water can do that to the head. Anyways, Ive talked way more about that than is necessary. Drinkable beer, love the mineral flavor and the hops are done well. Could use a bit more crispness as the honey (butter) cream-maltiness doesnet go too well with what the hops are doing here. Still, Susquehana Brewing seems a major upgrade from Saratoga (not that thatís saying much). Why donít they have this stuff brewed at Two Roads? Would imagine this stuff would be significantly better fresh on tap.

On tap, sample care of Maryanna at Cade, pours golden color with smaller head, notes are bitter hops, soap, and grain. Shampoo notes killed it for me. A little bit thin and lacking dankness.

1/19/14 $5.50 pint. On draft at La Calaca Feliz. 1st drink drank at bar while waiting for our table (had a 3 pepper margharita after) very very nondescript. Meh ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Hazy, sparkling amber with a buff-colored head and good lacing. Aroma of herbal hops, caramel, biscuit malt and citrus. Taste of caramel, citrus, herbal hops, tea, stale beer and doughy malt. Very bitter, very herbal and very malty. The hop-malt balance is nice, but I'm not enjoying the strong herbal flavor. Medium body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of light bread and roasted, light herbs and dough for the hops and yeast, with a hint of toffee. Head is small, fizzy/frothy, off-white with a spot or two of lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear medium amber/orange. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic, a touch salty and a lengthy stretch of moderate bitterness. Palate is medium, a little slick with a lively carbonation. This is how I remember English IPAs before the American style IPA boom.

A pale orange pour. Has a sweet malt aroma. Has sweet malt, citrus hop, and spices in taste. Malty aftertaste as opposed to hops.

Bottle shared by b3shine. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have faded hops, grass, toasted malts, caramel. I am curious as to the age of this. Just seems a bit past its prime. Mild bitterness to the finish.

Clear orangish gold. Nice looking. Light head, light lace, retains some nice froth. Malty, sweet aroma, hop sweetness? Mint, light pine.Slight citrus. Subtle fruit, herbal, subtle hop aroma overall but fairly pungent at the same time, but good general aroma. Taste is a rich malt, minerally, hops noble like, kinda grapefruity bitter with some harsh hard water. Kinda like its bitter abrubtness harsh bitter finish. Pretty bitter, lingers . Definatley a burton ipa. Pretty decent. Exceded my low expectations of my first impression of this never trying this unkowning brand before.
