Bottle. Unfortunately not up to the Southampton’s usual standards. Flat and hazy gold pour. Aroma of honey, rose hips, wet grain, floral. Taste is sweet, some floral and grassy notes but mainly honey. Palate is flat and a bit sweet. I hope this was an unfortunate bad bottle.

Bottle (750 ml). Shared by Julien/Benoit/Pier-Luc, thanks guys! Hazy yellow/golden with no head and no lacing. Aroma of rose petals, yeast, honey, sweetness notes and herbal presence. Taste is moderately sweet with yeast, floral notes, honeyed malt and herbal presence. Completely flat. Medium body. There’s a good basis here, but carbonation would have really helped this one.

Pours rich golden color with a bit of haze and a couple of fingers of foam. The nose has some nice floral notes, honey, belgian yeast and bread dough. The mouthfeel is round and a touch sticky with lots of sweet malt and floral grassy notes... touch of added complexity brought in by the yeast esters but nothing too exciting.

bottle shared by derek, thanks! pours hazy chestnut orange with a frothy white head that dissipates to the edge and leavy a soapy film throughout. nose is resin and straw hops with a rosey flower top that makes it quite perfume-y. taste is similar. light, refreshing rosewater with a hint of bitter straw hope to balance. yes, i am a girl... that MAY have something to do with why i am loving this floral light brew.

Bottle thanks to a trade. Pours a near clean earthy orange with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grass and hay with a touch of flora and a good amount of chamomile. Flavor has more light fruit with a bit of sweet flora and a strong chamomile note as well.

A - pours hazy golden orange with 2 finger very long lasting head. S - very malty aromas up front. Yeasty and mineraly. Some floral and sweet fresh citrus notes. M - creamy mf. Average palate. Lingering sweet malty end with some alcohol warmth. T - malty brew. Bready and caramel malts are muddled together with strong yeasts stronger citrus. Sweet, malt heavy brew with some hop profile. The floral notes are lost in the maltiness. Citrus and malt heavy. O - not at all what I had hoped. 3.2 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 750 ml Corked and Caged bottle. Hazy straw color with a white head of foam. Aroma is very floral and dry. All the flowers really stand out here. Taste is very dry and floral. Can’t get past that. A little more complexity could help this beer.

750ml bottle from Roy’s Ft. Pierce. Aroma is floral and ome hints of citrus, slightly on the sweet side. Taste is sweet forward, light on the floral. Very interesting palate, hard to isolate flavors, but do detect hints of lavender and citrus. Very interesting. Enjoyed!

mcberko (8037) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 9, 2012
750mL bottle, pours a cloudy, murky brownish orange with a small white head. Aroma is almost that of a cider, tart apples, tons of flowers, some tartness, very interesting. Flavour is quite tart, with sour apple cider, more fruity than floral, though the flowers no doubt create these flavours, and a slight vinegary character. Finishes slightly tart and fruity. What a weird beer this is - kind of fun, though containing none of the traditional saison characteristics - not rustic, funky, yeasty or anything. A fun experiment, but becomes quite difficult to drink after a while.
