GAManiac (217), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jul 25, 2008 750mL bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber that clears up as it warms. The head is small but very bubbly and dissipates fairly quickly leaving no lacing. The smell is extremely unique and extremely floral with some definite spiciness thrown in there as well. The floral aroma was more than just hops - all kind of flowery smells. The taste is a sweeter version of the aroma with honey playing a major role alongside the floral tastes. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with decent carbonation with a lingering syrupy sweetness in the finish. This is my first Southampton brew and I’m impressed with both the uniqueness and the quality of this one. BlackForestCO (479), Fort Collins and Black Forest, Colorado, USA Jul 6, 2008 Bottle thanks to moejuck, thanks man! Poured a clear golden-orange color with a moderate off-white head that faded to a layer. Aroma of citrus (light lemon, orange), funky flowers (mainly chamomile) and some moderate yeastiness. Soft, lightly tart entry with some moderate flowery, leafy character with hints of chamomile and a wheaty, yeasty flavor transition into a moderately dry finish with undertones of sweet berries. Smooth and crisp, semi-dry finish. Very nice beer, thanks a ton for hooking me up Joe. stegosaurus (1883), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 24, 2008 On draft @ Capones with Mad_indian.
