Brewso (236), Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA Aug 6, 2007 Wow- this was quite surprising- mostly because I didn’t know what to expect from the style and the flowers. This is a wonderful summer brew with lots of lemon and citrus. A sweet and sour floral aroma and taste. I really liked this.
after4ever (1752), Brier, Washington, USA Oct 5, 2008 750, corked and baled. Thanks, BVC! Deeply hazy medium gold. Thick, sudsy, platinum blonde head. Moderate stringy lace. Big flowery, lilacy, orange-blossom-y nose. Coriander shows up in a huge way, but only as it warms. Spearmint in there as well. Medium body with softly fizzy carb. Nuts, grass, flowers, and menthol on the mid-palate. Long, dry finish. Awesome, awesome beer. RCL (1075), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Sep 27, 2008 Amazing floral aroma, I would give it an 11 if I could. The flavor is less impressive; floral yet fairly dry with a crisp, dry finish. StFun (339), Indiana, USA Sep 20, 2008 Interesting beer. Saisons aren’t really my thing, but this one was really nice and complex. Aroma is flowers and spice, with a hint of candy. Flavor is big on flowers, with some nice notes of spice. Some lavender, sugar, carmel, and cookie flavor. Candy flavor comes through and holds everything together. Thin texture. Maybe a little too watery, but this was the best Saison I have had. michael-pollack (1484), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 11, 2008 750ml Bottle: Aroma is sweet and floral. Smells of lavender, caramel, spices, flowers, soap, and fruit. Poured amber/orange in color with a tiny white head that disappeared immediately. Hazy. Very sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malts, brown sugar, spices, flowers, ginger, allspice, and cardamom. Medium body. Slightly thin texture. Soft to average carbonation. Sweet, spiced, medium-dry finish. General_Gao (2575), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 27, 2008 750ml bottle shared by badbeer. Poured a slightly hazy medium orange color with a bubbly white head. Fruity, spicy aroma including the likes of apple, pear, light cinnamon, and clove. Medium bodied and semi-sweet with mild hop bitterness. Lots of spices in the flavor giving the beer an almost mulled-wine like note. Spiced pear and toffee also came out in the flavor along with a dash of salt in the middle. Interesting beer.
